The steak and potato burrito is delicious. Steak is tender and delicious. The taco dinner is also a great choice — use the salsa from the chips to make it even better! Sopapilla for dessert is well worth saving some room for — cover in honey for a perfect topping.

We had lunch today at Aberto’s…our wait staff was Teresa… she was a joy, great personality, friendly without being fake… very efficient and helpful. We were eating light so my Honey had tacos with shredded beef he found them delicious and plentiful. I had Chicken tostados, again delicious. the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh cut and plentiful. Tortilla chips were brought out right away. they were crispy and very good. The salsa was just right with just enough heat without burning your mouth… the atmosphere was very pleasant. .I loved all the real plants that were well cared for. Mexican music is always a treat… the Margarita was not bad either. Can’t wait to try it out for dinner.

Terrible. Don’t even bother with this place. Margaritas were premade out of a plastic Igloo container and the service was just plain awful.

I love the food there and always have, but the service can sometimes be a little spotty. Service is slow sometimes, but I do love the food. I usually get a burrito when I go and always enjoy it.

Just went here for lunch… chips and salsa were delicious and drinks were served promptly. Waitress was nice and polite. The two of us waited 45 minutes to get our food and finally decided to leave. We tried to get someone’s attention so we could pay for our drinks, but the wait staff was mia… no bartender… not even the hostess was at the front so we put cash on the table and left. RIDICULOUS!!!

A friend took me there to experience the green chili that she raves about; however, I found the food to be lack luster, not authentic at all, plus way too pricey for the quality! It was also not very clean, and extremely outdated décor. I was surprised! I just want to find a Mom & Pop place that makes home made tortillas and everything else I’m use to in terms of the type of the authentic Mexican food I’m use to in California. I’m still searching!

Alberto’s has never been great, the only reason I give them 2 stars is for their 5-star steak and potato breakfast burritos on Friday mornings. Pair that with a cup of hot coffee and your morning is set. Their sign used to read«Hottest Green Chile In Town» and when they came under new management they ‘gringo-ed’ it to «Chili». Frustrating! Their regular menu is sub-par and white washed. Perfect for the lily-white denizens of Greeley. As for the rest of us, we will have to make our own Mexican food until an actual decent Mexican restaurant comes to town. TL;DR: breakfast burritos on Friday morning, skip the rest

RUDEOWNERANDSTAFFAND A COMPLETERIPOFF!!! Tried this place for the first time tonight. Order delivery through . I was in the mood for some taquitos, and noticed that they had a 3 piece taquito appetizer for $ 6, or what they call their«taquito dinner» for $ 10.25. The description given of this dinner was: «Soft shell corn tortilla with pork, guacamole, your choice or Chile or salsa, and rice & beans.» Being the reasonable person I am, I assumed that you would receive more than 3 taquitos being there is a $ 4.25 price difference between the two taquito options. Imagine my surprise when my food was delivered to only find THREE taquitos on my plate. Being a manager in the food industry, I figured that this was nothing more than a mere training goof, and figured I would call to inquire. The teenage girl that answered the phone listened to me as I politely explained my confusion, and then cut me off with an annoyed«Hold on». As she is handing the phone to who I assume is a manager, she very loudly announces«She’s complaining about something». At this point, I start becoming annoyed. A man gets on the phone, and I start trying to explain my story to him, when he cuts me off with a rude–«The taquito dinner has always come with three! Thats how it is». At this point, I ask to speak to another manager and he informs me that HEISTHEOWNER. I ask him if he feels it is right to charge $ 4.25 for a side of rice and beans? He informs me that the price for a side of rice of beans is $ 2 each. As he is telling me this, I am staring at his online menu where the prices for a side of rice and beans is $ 1.25 each. I told him I was a first time customer and enjoyed the food, but would not be returning because of this… his answer? «Thats fine, we dont need you» So you rip off your customers and dont care if people are happy and return to your establishment? You must be rich with that business model.

Not a fan of the breakfast burritos. Too many taters. Not enough meat. The Alberto’s express is ok, I’ve not been inside the restaurant. We used to have someone come around at work to sell them but apparently the health dept had issues with that.

Authentic Mexican food. Def hottest green chili in town. Have been going there for years and never have been disappointed. The deluxe burritos are amazing. I love the chicken & rice and steak & potato burrito. The only issue are the prices are out the roof. A large combo comes close to 15 $ come on now. My wife comes from a Mexican family and you could feed a family of 10 on 15 $. They need to re-evaluate the prices.

Apparently they are under new management and it took over an hour to get our food it it was all incorrect. Instead of saying I’m sorry and get our correct food out ASAP. They said new correct order will be just as long as they have a lot of orders ahead of ours. Shouldn’t ours jump the the head of the line as we already waited an hr for the wrong food. Not happy

We USED to like going to Alberto’s. Decent food, super fast service. THATWASTHEN. We just ate there and they have apparently raised their prices significantly. It just cost us $ 65+tip for dinner for 4. I don’t think it’s ever cost us even $ 40 for the same meals. We wished them good luck on our way out and don’t plan to go back. We also bought certificates recently(September) and were told tonight(October) that they no longer accept them. Low quality food, low quality service, expensive. Boo!

The place was dirty(visual) floor, tables, etc… and the food was horrible. I had a GC and they didn’t want to take it. The menu had salsa on it when they handed it to me. Their salsa and chips were mediocre. I ordered something similar to a soft taco and it was so greasy and bland tasting. Would never go back.

I love Mexican food and have eaten at a lot of Mexican food places. This place is a whole in the wall. Looks a little run down, Food is over priced for the quality, nachos were not made with real cheese, they use artificial cheese. Chili reneos were small and pre made. Burrito was flavorless. I can say the green chili was ok at it’s best. When asked the staff(3 different people) about the table chips & salsa they all said they haven’t tried it. Very un-comforting. I would not recommend this place.

Alberto’s is not too bad, not the best Mexican I’ve had. I was there on a Tuesday and they serve a free Margarita with your entrée, SCORE! Plus, they had the mariachi band playing too which added to the atmosphere. I had the crunchy rellenos that weren’t very crunchy but they were still good. We started with the guacamole, which was very good. Loved it and I could have eaten another serving. Service was slow, took a bit for water to arrive and then we had to ask for refills. It’s more of an americanized Mexican then authentic so don’t have too high of expectations.

Food sucks except for breakfast burritos which are pretty good… But the kitchen in the west location is so gross don’t know if it’s worth risking it to eat them

It’s too bad the service was some of the worst I have experienced in a long time, as the food was pretty good. Speaking as a man who married a beautiful mexican girl for a reason, I know good Mexican food. This was good… but the service was horrible!!! Even the table next to us, who we chatted up with, was terribly dissappointed in the service. Once seated it took forever to be recognized. It then took even longer for drinks, food, refills, dessert menus, and our check. Maybe we are a little sensitive, as we have 2 boys with the attention span of moths, so it becomes a little hectic if wehave to wait for very long. But once it was confirmed by our neighbors, we knew it wasnt just us. Food was great, but we wont go back because we would probably have to celebrate out childrens next 2 birthdays while waiting for our food.

I’ve been going here for years. I can’t say much about the menu because I always get the same meal, chicken enchiladas. They are better here than almost anywhere I’ve ever had them. Tuesdays are a special treat because you get a free marg with your meal and the mariachis play. Get there early because it’s packed and they close early. I think 8.

Good, but not spectacular(and definitely a bit overrated). Alberto’s does alot of things right, but misses on several points too. First things first, this isn’t really authentic Mexican food. It’s basically Americanized across the board, despite offering such Mexican classics as «menudo». That being said, it’s quite GOOD for AmeriMex food, but don’t go here expecting the fare you probably drooled over in Mexico. Too much cheese. WAY too much cheese. That was the biggest detractor from my enchilada plate. Authentic Mexican food, if it uses any cheese, uses a mild queso fresco or queso blanco, and does so very sparingly… more as a slight enhancement, like one might squeeze lemon over grilled fish. Alberto’s drowns their plates in a thick gooey layer of orange cheese; it seemed more like I was digging into a Chicago deep-dish pizza, not an enchilada plate. The«carne asada» plate, ordered by my father, was pushing 1 star if that… paper thin skirt steak grilled to well-done, so dry that even the sauce wasn’t helping? Maybe this was a bad night for the grill cook… but be warned that this dish is $ 12.00 for poorly prepared beef with a few onions, 2 tortillas, and the typical rice and beans. After I managed to locate my enchiladas through the ¼-inch layer of cheese, they were quite tasty. Alberto’s is reknowned for their hot green chili, and rightfully so. Not only is it wonderfully hot, but it tastes great! In addition to this plate, I ordered a tamale on the side and was pleased to sample one of the better I’ve had, both in flavor and texture. Their guacamole was also very fresh and naturally bright green, indicating that this establishment can recognize a ripe avocado(but not over-ripe which would give it a brown-grey tint). So, if you’re in Greeley and you’re looking for above-average AmeriMex food, Alberto’s fits the bill. If you’re looking for more authentic(and better) enchiladas, drive about 10 more blocks to Cisnero’s, a true hole-in-the-wall, but that in the BEST context possible.

I really like this place. It is the only restaurant in town that has decently hot green chile. The portions are huge, so even though most things are over $ 10 you definitely get your money worth. No complaints about the service at all. The dining room is also pretty clean. There are lots of different and interesting margarita flavors here like cranberry, banana, peach, and melon. I had a peach one last time I was there and it was really good. A bit strong too, just the way I like it.
