Marco’s Pizza

Finally — Third time’s the charm I guess. After a delayed opening and trying to order online before they were listed, we finally obtained a couple pizzas from Marco’s.
We ordered for delivery — the app said 45 minutes, it took 90. I’ll cut them some slack since it was a Friday evening about 6pm, but double the time? It’s proving really difficult to get a pizza from this place.
About the pizzas — thin crust option, one meat, one other specialty I can’t remember. They were good. They were certainly gobbled up with no leftovers. The kiddos certainly think they’re good. For the pizza sizes and options, the prices are a bit of premium to other pizza vendors around town — so for quality/​taste/​size/​price I’d say they’re on par — if you want to spend a little more and get a better tasting pizza, go Marco’s. If you’re feeding a herd and need to do so on a budget, perhaps consider the more traditional delivery places.
All in all, I’d give them 3 stars and say they’re A-​OK. The ease of online order for takeout (or delivery) and the time promised versus actual will likely determine if I buy a lot of pizza from them, continue to alternate between pizza places, or give up.
Finally, the store seems nice — I’m not much of a pizza-​shop in-​store diner. I prefer carryout/​delivery, so I cannot comment on the interior/​atmosphere.

One evening I decided to give «Undercover Boss» a try, although the previews I had seen had dissuaded me from viewing the show. The episode we watched was the one about Marco’s Pizza. The very next day, driving along 20^th, we were surprised, to see a Marco’s Pizza in a storefront that had changed businesses several times over the years. It really was the memory of the show that moved us to give the place a try. The gentleman in charge said they had been opened for a little over a week. I’m sorry we missed their grand opening.
I have a favorite pizza place. I don’t expect it to be replaced. But I am always open to new experiences. We entered to a loud «Welcome to Marco’s Pizza!» The place was clean, with adequate tables and seating. Shakers of red pepper flakes and (presumably) Parmesan, along with honey were at the tables. There was a soda/​drink dispenser, and a couple of wide screen tvs mounted high.
We ordered the Garden Pizza. The young man who brought the pizza to us was obviously and sincerely enthusiastic, and proud of Marco’s Pizzas. He is a credit to the business. The ingredients were substantial and fresh. They were good. The crust was. .. come to think of it, the crust was pretty darn good, better than most pizzas I’ve gotten from a pizza shop. I know they can coax a little more flavor out of the sauce if they try. And they might sprinkle an extra seasoning or two on the pizza itself, or give more body to the sauce. On the other hand! — you can easily ask for a side order of extra pizza sauce, garlic butter, ranch, or jalapeño ranch and add that to the pizza. That would bring things together more cogently.
Everyone who shared the pizza thought it was very good, and we will all probably be getting another Marcos’ pizza in the near future. For students at UNC and AIMS, Marco’s is close enough to go for a lunch break (if you’re driving). And for students at Greeley West High School, it’s only a few hundred steps further than the King’s store that many go to for their lunches.

Great grand opening! Love the pizza. Called in and ordered dinner tonight. The only problem ordering over the phone with a coupon is the girl said she can’t place the order without coupon code. Thank god my husband had not left yet with coupon. Ordered at 8:30 pm. Love this place though.

Excellent! #1 pizza joint in Greeley! Fantastic pizza overloaded with deliciously fresh toppings in every bite! Great company, awesome staff, couldn’t be better!

Stopped in for lunch. Great pizza, good location and nice setup. Staff was new but got he job done. Looks like a lot of deliveries going out.
