We returned with the family and came away very satisfied. Food was hot and every dish delivered. Chicken wings were excellent. Hubby is a wing snob and he deemed these very good. Burgers were huge and the fries were the best. S’mores crème brûlée was fabulous better than the runny Valentine’s Day crème brûlée. Love the place and the people!

Took my father(a very sarcastic and playful individual) who had a fantastic time with the staff, owner, and who also made time to enjoy the great dinner and dessert. I highly recommend the restaurant if you are wanting to feel welcomed and well satiated! –Rich

Totally agree with other reviewers, very nice and they kept the salad and bread bar! Great service, yummy food, new owners made a sincere effort to insure we were happy. Wish them all the luck :) Return trip 2015, NOMORESALADBAR!!! and smelled a little musty. Ordered portobello mushrooms with«vegetables«on top– a huge slice of red opinion and slivers of red peppers are not my definition of vegetables and the plop of plain white rice didn’t add a thing. The service and margarita were good, but won’t be going back.

Was visiting friends in the area and we went to the Pinehurst Lodge for dinner — it was an absolute amazing experience! I live in Michigan and travel for a living so have eaten at many different local type of restaurants like this and I have to say that this place had an impeccable menu, atmosphere and service. Top recommendations from the menu are: chicken wings(garlic parmesan &/or sesame ginger), salmon, strip steak, tuna & seafood cakes. The desserts are all homemade and you can really taste the difference — they were scrumptious! Their sorbets and chocolate cake with peanut butter ganache have to be award winning! Their salad dressings are all homemade, too! I am so impressed with this place — the food is top notch and the atmosphere was cozy, quaint, fun and clean. Our waitress, Patty, was so professional very personable and provided great service. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want good food at reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere.

I absolutely love this place! My boyfriend and I have been there twice and can’t wait to go back! The food is delicious and right on point with the prices. Nice wine selections and great cocktail list. Service is always excellent, a special thank you to Jen who made a special dressing for my boyfriend, which he loved! The owner, roger is a joy to talk to! Great atmosphere, very cozy and warm. It’s no wonder people might have a hard time getting in during peak business hours, they’ve got something going on that most people want! Make a reservation and you won’t be disappointed! Keep doing what you’re doing pinehurst!

I travel from Pennsylvania to Boston every few months, and have been hoping to stop here on the drive ever since I saw the Pinehurst Country Lodge on Restaurant Impossible. Today was my chance since they are open for lunch in the summer months. My husband and I arrived around 3:00 after calling to make sure they were open. The hostess seated us quickly and Jen, our server, followed her seconds later to take our drink orders. She was very helpful in suggesting what to order and we loved our«Jen picks»! Chicken sliders for me, beef sliders for him. Both came with excellent hand-cut fries. We also added the salad bar for $ 3 and were glad we did. The dill dressing alone made the salad bar worth it. On a second trip, I would go with the beef sliders. The chicken ones are great but the beef was so juicy and just melted in your mouth. I would definitely go back, and would ask for Jen. She was so friendly and made a good food experience even more fun.

Had dinner there last night, Frank the chef came to the table… nice touch! I ordered the Skirt Steak med-rare…It was delicious, I gave everyone a taste, and they knew I ordered the winning dinner… My friends had the pork sliders, which he said was good too…$ 5 Margarita’s topped the meal… Great food…

I am a big fan of Restaurant Impossible with Robert Irvine, and I remembered Pinehurst when I saw it in the Unilocal reviews near Woodloch Resort. I couldn’t wait to check out 1. if the designs looked as good in person 2. if it was a good experience for the owner and 3. the quality of the food. I can say that all three were great. The atmosphere, food and service were just what I was expecting. For dinner we shared the chicken sliders(loved the chutney), the Pinehurst Burger(great a juicy), pulled pork, and herb chicken. Mom & dad had the pork and chicken, and they said each were very good. I had the pleasure of speaking with Roger the owner and was happy to be able to tell him what a great job he was doing. I was also happy to hear that«he would do(restaurant impossible) again in a heartbeat» because it turns out that Robert and the staff were just genuine people who really wanted to help. If you are in the area the Pinehurst is really worth the visit. Roger and his team will make sure you enjoy a great meal. Thanks for a great dinner!

We went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Sat at the bar, the bartender/server, Sean was wonderful. Great drinks, great personality. The food was good. What really dismayed me was that the owner was sitting right behind us at a table doing some paperwork, never approached us or introduced himself or asked how we liked it, etc. Perhaps he was having a bad day but. ..

Absolutely our favorite place in the Poconos. We eat there at least once a week. Family owned, family run and family atmosphere. Hail to new chef Frank for his innovative and magnificent creations. Last night stuffed fresh flounder served with rice was supurb. Just noticed on Facebook Chicken Puttanesca tonight. Heading over soon… Like them on Facebook to find out about their daily specials and fun activities.

We’ve been here 4 or 5 times since my original review… and this remains my favorite restaurant! The food is excellent and consistent. What I like is that you can go inexpensive(appetizers, or even the 40 Cent wing night plus sliders= $ 10) or you can«do it up» with appetizers, prime rib, dessert, drinks… So whatever my money situation at the time, I have a warm, welcoming place to go to that I feel that I got my money’s worth. My kids love it also. They can always find something they like on the regular menu, but there is a great kid’s menu also. Personally, I don’t think there is another restaurant in the area that can rival this one on so many levels for the money.

Where shall I begin? Great ambiance, service was excellent. Limited but quality menu. Salad bar was nicely stocked with numerous vegetables, dressing choices and fresh bread. The shrimp cocktail was fresh and chilled just right as an appetizer. My dad ate off the regular menu, the skirt steak prepared exactly as he asked, with au jus especially for him and delicious zucchini sautéed in garlic and butter and the mashed potatoes were excellent as well. I ordered off the nights specials, sirloin and shrimp. It was excellent, cooked perfectly and the portion was adequate as well. I highly recommend this place!

After waiting over three hours for our reservation on re-launch night(The Restaurant was chosen for an airing of Food Network’s Restaurant Impossible), I am sad to say we walked out. The over all atmosphere remained nice, but obviously service and kitchen were struggling severely. I normally wouldn’t leave a review, but I was terribly disappointed that most tables that were seated were friends and family from NY and Long Island. If you want to remain in business, and you are truly struggling, then I am sorry, but reservations should be given to those who you would like to return. I am not in any rush to go back for this sole reason.
