I love this place! We took my uncle for his birthday, along with my family that have never been to Rumi’s before. My uncle has been all around the world and has dined in the finest restaurants. He has pretty high expectations for good food and service, he was super impressed with Rumi’s! We tried hummus, falafel, beef kabob, chicken kabob, lamb curry, chicken curry, lamb chops, Greek salad and the baklava. Everything was delicious! The service was also great! My family loved this place and are already making plans to come again! Thanks Rumi’s!

What a great experience!!! I have to admit that I didnt have high expectations before getting there. But once we got there, that started to change, beginning from the outside, the restaurant is located inside this cute pictoresque house. Inside it is warm and cozy. From the small details of decorative pieces to the music playing it all makes you feel on a real arabic setting. The food is delicious! We ordered the dinner for two, which includes a delicious Salad, red lentil soup, hummus, and a plate with grape leaves, falafels, everything times 2 just a starter. Each one of us had a choice of a entrée. I had the chicken curry and my friend had the chicken and beef Kabob. All the dishes tasted very genuine. To make the experience even better, a very beautiful girl did all the serving and explained each dish for US. Two thumbs up! I hope their business continue to grow but keeping it this special touch.

I have been here a few times. I am glad to have found a tasty original restaurant in Greeley. It is located in a small repurposed house. There are only a handful of tables, so it might be full. Quaint, and unique. The rose water was refreshing. The Pita and hummus are my favorite. How do they get the bread that tender? I had the lamb. It was excellent. If I want something different this is my go to in Greeley.

Such a cute little house and ambient dining space. I do not like middle eastern food and sadly this meal didn’t change my mind. We had a little of everything.

I am so happy I learned about this place. I am a lawyer and was headed to court in Greeley for the first time and luckily googled restaurants and found Rumi’s, which is two blocks from the courthouse. Beautiful setting, gracious hosts and service, and wonderful, authentic food with reasonable prices. I think it is the best Middle Eastern food I have had in Colorado. I would go out of my way to come here. Recommended: red lentil soup, tea, lamb curry. I thought the hummus was good but I wasn’t as excited about it as some other patrons.

This food amazing! The hostess is stunning! The gentleman that made my food came out of the kitchen to say hello. What else can you ask for? We just moved here and we are very pleasantly surprised to find such good Middle Eastern food in Greeley CO. We only ordered take out Gyros and some dolmades this time but we will be back for sure. Great food!

Fantastic food — better service. I am a month late in posting this review. I had dinner here when I was on a business trip in Colorado recently. I was going to go to the pizza place next to my hotel, but the reviews here looked too good to pass up, and they did not disappoint. The menu is filled with Middle East standards, but just ask if there is something you want that isn’t on the menu. I had the lamb chops and they were delicious. The amount of food seemed generous for the price. Best of all was the service. My server was attentive without being overbearing. I had questions on the menu, so she brought out some different sauces without me asking. The owner gave me one of her almond cookies as dessert. Amazing!

Delicious with plenty of vegetarian options. Its a cute family-owned place inside a house. It’s a great choice for ethnic and healthy cuisine. Will be coming back.

Five stars for this place seems overly generous unless my experience was unusual. We came for a lunch. Service was okay. They were somewhat busy. Service was friendly, but a bit slow on things like bringing the bill and settling up. We went with two of the lunch specials. The first of which was the Chicken Curry. The basmati rice was okay, as was the sauce, but the chicken breast pieces were painfully dry. The Chicken Kabsa, a similar dish, but tomato sauce based, also had bone dry smallish pieces of chicken breast. The prices were rather good. Based on that, I would be willing to come back again to try a gyro or some other item, but this lunch was rather disappointing. We also added a side of hummus to one of the dishes for just $ 2. The description states, «A delightful dip of garbanzo beans, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, vinegar and olive oil. Served with pita bread». It was definitely freshly made, but it did not have a very smooth consistency. Indeed, it has small chunks of garbanzo beans throughout, which detracted from enjoying it.

I rarely say«Hey, I feel like Mediterranean food today.» So perhaps my judgement isn’t the most accurate. I must admit, if all Mediterranean food was like Rumi’s, I certainly would! Tried the Gyro and it was perfectly seasoned and balanced with their home made taziki sauce. The pita and hummus appetizer was so fresh, I couldn’t get enough! Friends enjoyed the lamb special and kabob combo of beef and chicken. Everyone raved about their meals. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful. Don’t forget the home made baklava, it’s scrumptious too!

Our party of three, which included an active 1 year old, were greeted, seated, and served with warmth and kindness. Our waitress went out of her way to keep the youngest member of our party entertained and sustained(smiles, waves, and lots of extra pita bread to chew on). The food was delicious: rich and flavorful with a great combination of textures, colors, and spices. I lived in the middle east and didn’t expect to find the same quality of food in small-town Colorado.

This place is a hidden gem in Greeley. The house turned restaurant was quite a surprise the staff was attentive and we brought an unexpected large crowd in to eat after a full day of conference sessions. I had the Red lentil bean soup, chicken curry and the yummy ice tea. Met the owner, hard working staff and very clean and nicely adorned Mediterranean rooms. It was very hot and humid but again we surprised them with about 20 people at the last minute. Great eats!

Rumi’s house of Kabob(Rumi being one of my favorite poets) is located in a beautiful old house with about 9 tables. The menu has many choices, from vegan to lamb shank or lamb chops. Rose water is on the table to flavor your tea. We had excellent service and good recommendations. The lamb shank was excellent with a generous side of rice mixed with lamb juices. I had the vegan eggplant stew, which was a little thin and small(but adequate) portion with three different types of rice as a side – it was a bit too plain for my liking. We started with lentil soup which was quite delicious and very flavorful. We ended with almond cookies, moist and subtle. The price for two entrees with soup and the cookies was 38 $.

We just had dinner at Rumi’s House of Kabob in Greeley earlier this evening and it was an incredible experience! The service was impeccable and it was so nice to see the owners of the place mingling among the diners genuinely gauging our satisfaction. I had a simple gyro because I’ve been craving one, the gyro meat was the most succulent, melt-in-your-mouth I’ve ever had, the tzatziki was awesome, the tomatoes, onion and lettuce were of a higher quality that usually seen at other restaurants. The pita itself was pillow-soft and incredible. This was, without a doubt, the best gyro I’ve ever had! I ordered fries, too. They were very well cooked: crispy on the outside, soft inside. They were served dusted with a bit of salt and pepper as well as oregano and garlic – they were truly yummy! My partner had the chicken curry. I sampled a couple bites; it too was far above average! The chicken was so tender that I held it in my mouth a second or to just to see if it might, in fact, melt! It was that good. The curry had great flavor and the rice was perfect. I highly recommend Rumi’s…it’s in an old Victorian near downtown Greeley. I felt like I was eating in someone’s home dining room and I loved the experience. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. Did I mention that both of us ate for less than $ 25 including a very generous tip? Yeah… this place, sort of a hidden gem, it also a great value!
