I have been wanting to try this place for a while. I kept hearing great things about their salsa bar. This place is on the north side of Jerry’s market. I finally went into try the place and I’m so glad I did. The staff was friendly the Mexican music playing just puts you in a good mood and truly makes you feel like your in Mexico. The food was great and the salsa was even better. I can’t wait to go back.

We stopped in on our way through while doing laundry, and I was all excited for«real» Mexican food. I got the most exotic thing on the menu(to me) — Menudo. I was really disappointed with it, but fought to finish it anyway. It just had no flavor whatsoever. The drinks are all really good, we tried the Agua Mediana. Too sweet for me, but my friend loved it. Since my friends were so happy with their food, I’m giving better rating than the Menudo would have rendered alone. It was like a 2, honestly.

This is the place for authentic Mexican(and I have experience!) It’s divey in a good way. Service was quick, efficient, and helpful. They had no problem doing special orders. I had the tacos and thought I was in the D.F. of Mexico! The salsa bar had an incredible varieties of fresh salsas, chiles toreados and little pungent limes. I had the agua de melon, which was refreshing and tasty, but not as fresh as I’ve had, but it’s midwinter! A great find.

Found this place via reviews on here, and we loved it. We had tacos(amazing!) and burritos. The salsa bar is great and has delicious, fresh salsas. My tacos were El Pastor, Asada, Pechuga, and Chorizo, and they were all wonderful. We highly recommend a visit here.

Seriously delicious, authentic Mexican food! We are from Texas and have not found good Mexican food in Colorado until now. Had quesadillas, el pastor tacos, chicken tacos and barbacoa tacos and it was all amazing!

You might consider this place a «hole in the wall» BUT, the flavors are as authentic as mi Abuelitas house. What a delicious treat. The food and hospitality are extremely authentic. I will always eat here when I crave real Mexican food.

I’m impressed! This is a REAL Mexican restaurant, with REAL Mexican people running it, serving real Mexican food. I ordered tacos Asada. I got authentic tacos Asada, just like the ones I got when I traveled in Mexico.

Fantastic. While stopping in Greeley for a week the wife was missing some of the great taquiria’s we found in California, so we relied on Unilocal: very glad we did. Very affordable and excellent meal with a variety of meat options beyond the usual carne/pollo choice. Tripas, cheek meat, tongue, and other offerings available for the tacos and several other entrees as well. Great salsa bar options as well. Highly recommended.

Simply put this place is amazing. If you are thinking about trying this place out, don’t think about it. You will love the food, price, and service. Growing up in Southern California I had access to really good mexican food. This is one of the better places in Colorado for authentic mexican food. The salsa bar is really fresh and they all taste amazing. From the outside it does not look like much, but don’t let that fool you. You will love the food and this makes me feel like I am back home having the excellent so cal mexican street tacos!

My husband and I ordered the tostada and chili verde enchiladas. Good but I would of want more spice. But great business and friendly staff! Great prices.

Service was really good and fast. We had the tacos, rice and beans. Everything was excellent. The meat wasn’t dripping with fat or gristly like a few places I have been to. The salsa is good, not hot though Free refills. This is definitely a place I’ll hit more often when I’m in town.

Best steak tacos in Greeley. Perfectly grilled steak with finely chopped cilantro and onion and plenty of lime on the side. They have a good salsa bar too. But my favorite thing of all is the cantelope water. It’s the shit.

All I can say is DTSWG. Service was stellar and food was correspondingly fantastic. Fresh and tastefully seasoned with the perfect amount of spices. Do not miss this hidden gem. The Enchilada Rojas ranks in at #5 in my book. Sorry but the top 4 belong to mis tias and mi padre.

I tried this place for the first time and can’t wait to go back and try more off their menue. I had 2 tacos, Barbacoa and Al Pastor. Both were full of flavor but the Al Pastor was bit fatty and I probably wouldn’t order it again just because I’m really picky when it comes to fat in meat. The flavor was great though. I loved their salsa bar and tried several different ones all of which were very yummy. Their prices are outstanding!

Excellent food but be sure to ask for extra spicy chile as the regular just doesn’t cut it.

Being from San Diego, I know what authentic non-white people messed with Mexican food is. If you want authentic Mexican food Taqueria Los Comales would be your spot… Makes me feel like I’m in Tijuana again which is a good thing for authentic Mexican food. Anyways, Don’t let the atmosphere scare you/deter you! Yes it is in a «rougher» part of Greeley, Yes they play all Mexican music and TV in the restaurant and yes you might be the only white person/family there at the time when you visit, BUT you still need to put on your big boy/girl pants, step out of your comfort zone and try this place. Everything has been out of this world that I have tried and the Horchata was on point. Gives me the feeling of being a teenager and going across the boarder for a Corona and Mexican food on the cheap! TRYIT! (By the way, I am white so my references about white people shouldn’t offend anyone!)

Taqueria Comales is an incredible value. The chips & salsa are INSANE. Probably 12 salsas fill up an impressive and tasty salsa bar. The al pastor was excellent as well. This place is a gem.

Attached to a market on the north side of Greeley lies a little Mexican restaurant that makes one delicious al pastor taco. I’ve had some tasty al pastor tacos in the Denver area, but nothing as traditional as here. They’re «street taco» sized and they’re pretty cheap — $ 2/taco or 4-for-$ 7. I did the 4, also trying their barbacoa, carnitas, and steak. All were solid, but the al pastor will be all I order the next time I find myself here. The restaurant also has other traditional Tex-mex items. I like that they have a salsa bar, which most were pretty tasty. I really enjoyed the Mexican salsa and the green salsa. The creamy guac and creamy chipotle ones were also tasty, but could have used less cream and a bit more guac/chipotle. Attentive service, free chips and salsa, and the al pastor taco will have me stopping here again.
