The Slawpy Barn. Where to start with this food extravaganza on wheels. Before I start I will say I’m a bit of a «foodie» My wife and I along with a couple of friends recently ran across this truck at «Prospects Eats» in Longmont. The line was long so we thought it must be worth the wait so we mounted up and ordered some lead items as well as some Munchie items on the menu board. That included the«Loaded Tots» «Mushroom Burger» «Street tacos» and«Curly Fries» The curly fries were an afterthought really, when you see a man cranking out potatoes on a hand crank, your first thought is, THAT’S GOTTABELEGIT Right. I’ll have those too. I mean really who hand cranks Potatoes anymore. The fries were HOT, Fresh and season perfectly, Can’t really ask for anything more in fries. The Mushroom Burger, Our friend got this and we all had to try it based on his first bite. Beef Patty, Swiss and Mushroom and sautéed onions. Ingredients sound simple enough right! The patty was perfectly cooked with a little pink, the mushrooms and onions were sautéed until soft, I’m not sure what was mixed with the mushrooms but it had some sort of sauce that probably was made by Jesus Christ or one of the wise men no lie. We all ended up with a halo after that. Bad Ass Burger. I will totally order this again Street Tacos, My wife ordered these; her response was its Simplicity and freshness at its best. The meat is seasoned well and not overly salty. One would assume the seasoning is their own blend and not from a packet. My wife says the best part about the street tacos were the toppings Warm Tortilla, Hot meat and Cold vibrant fresh toppings… I would assume that’s what we all look for in a Taco… Apparently that’s what my beautiful bride likes so I’m sticking to it Best for last The Loaded Tots, I’m really not even sure where to start with this ridiculousness. Hear me out before you move on, the ingredients are weird… I ordered this thinking this could possibly be a train wreck of the most Epic/awesome proportions. Again I’m a foodie and took on the challenge. It contains Tator Tots, Macaroni and cheese, pulled pork, Onion Straws … Legit Onion straws that should actually be called onion wedges or something that describes them with a much more girthy appearance. Ok moving on, I think it had like two different kind of sauces that should actually be bottled and sold. We recommend bottling the sauce and selling it, it was that good, The Tots were hot, the mac and cheese homemade and creamy, the pulled pork was tender and fresh. Its totally a comfort food item. To sum up the experience we were all really impressed. The food was fresh and full of flavor and the sauces on the tots and mushroom burger was Outstanding! There is no question that we all not only enjoyed the food at The Slawpy Barn but also appreciated the freshness of the ingredients. They created a really fun menu and food truck experience. When the food truck is Rocking, Definitely go knocking… One last thing Napkins… You will most definitely need napkins. Continued success to this truck, they are definitely doing it up big

The wife and I ordered their walking taco. It was nachos with some seasoned ground beef and a little iceberg lettuce and tomato. $ 9. The wife ordered a side of fries. They were totatlly greasy and undercooked. Very disappointing.

Ordered a mushroom Swiss burger with fries. Fairly basic, but served nice and hot with good fresh toppings. No complaints here.
