Bigelow Rentals

I question the lone 5 star review on here, as Debbie has personally hung up on me and at several different points called me profane words that Unilocal surely will not publish.
Bigelow Rentals selectively allows dogs while not disclosing this to other residents, then acts confused when this offends you. They don’t keep up on normal repairs. In 5+ years we’ve had two ant and one bee infestation; Bigelow helped with none of these. A moron ran into our garage in May of last year and the garage door has yet to be fixed after four calls about it. Noise complaints and parking violation complaints are ignored by management. Oh, and they charge you a substantial fee for making payments.
I could go on and on, but I don’t have time in the day to share with you the full extent of the horrible experience that is doing business with Bigelow Rentals.

Great experience renting from this company. They are always polite and Debbie the manager is always there to get things done when they need it. I re-​signed for another year. Very comfortable. Neighbors are quite and polite. Not a loud place at all and a good mix of people from older to young family’s. I rent at Burgoyne Lake Estate. Definitely worth looking at if you are searching for an apartment.

No application fee like other renters charge upfront. Staff was willing to be straightforward on showing rentals and disclosed what was on the lease. Properties could use some updating but rates aren’t bad.

Kelly Bigelow is a slumlord plain and simple. Only rent from her if you like no maintenance or half assed maintenance… no snow removal, moldy window sills, broken toilets, leaky sinks and over all being ignored and threatened eviction because she doesn’t check her mail for your rent check… also, if you like having an array of pet spiders. This is the place for you.

What a horrible place to rent from. I have been at Ledgecrest for over a year and the management has failed to do any maintenance requests that were put in. They say they will send someone right over and no one ever shows up. Last summer we had a outrageous hornet problem and called them a million times to have them solve the issue. They never showed up. We already have the hornets starting again this summer and we aren’t even going to waste our time asking the management to do anything about it, because we know they won’t. What is the point of having a balcony if you can’t use it? I am highly allergic to bee stings and could never go on the balcony. Last summer we also had a terrible spider problem. At night they would be all over our balcony and they were humongous. I have never seen that many spiders in that small of an area. Towards the end of summer, the spiders were actually inside our apartment! They would come out of the vents in the bathrooms. When we complained about this, they said it was too expensive for them to deal with the problem so we would have to attempt to take care of it ourselves. If you are not a smoker, I would also not suggest this complex, as they allow smoking in the apartments. If your neighbors smoke, you will smell it. It comes in through the doors and vents and makes your apartment reek. I have called to complain about that many times and they say they will tell the neighbors to ventilate better, but it never happens. Along the same lines of cigarette smoke is the marijuana smokers that live next to us. The managers said there is nothing that they can do, that they won’t even contact the residents and ask them to stop. My apartment smells of marijuana smoke all the time and I don’t think it is fair that I have to deal with the illegal actions of my neighbors. Further, the management when we moved in were extremely rude. The lady would not answer phone calls and would do communications through text messages. One time she sent me a text that was supposed to go to the painter. It is extremely unprofessional. She also did not want to deal with my fiancé because she stated that she usually works with the women, so she didn’t want to work with him. It is ridiculous. This is by far the worst management.
