I keep weighing out whether this gets five stars. I decide yes. This place makes me happy. The staff are so nice. Opposite of Jo-​Ann Fabrics! :) You walk in the door and they’re asking whether they can help you, there are plenty of staff and they are consistently checking in to see whether you need anything. And they know stuff. They’re not just craft sewists, everyone also does some garment sewing, so that means more skill and experience than the average bear. There is a class on Thursday nights that’s more of a workshop, you pay $ 5 and work there for a couple of hours and kind of socialize and there are staff there. I have not done that. I wish they had some detailed classes: I want a pants-​fitting class and I want to learn how to do a sloper. And I want them to have more fabric. I want it all. :) I’m a beginning sewist, and the fabric selection is okay. Last week there was an 89 cent sale on Butterick patterns and $ 3.99 on Vogue. I think this happens the beginning of every September. They also have sales and coupons on a regular basis, but I’m still a bit confused by this. This is the best fabric store option we have here, as there are no independent fabric stores (sadly).
