Went here on a Friday night for fish for the first time. After sitting at the bar and ordering drinks I was told by the bartender that they only excpeted cash and that the ATM was out of order. I was forced to drive across the street to the bank and get money out while my fiancée sat at the bar. After I returned I was rushed to order. The bartender at least bought us a round to make up for it. It’s goofy that you order your food then are not seated untill it’s ready. To sum up the fish was good but the bar/restruant had a loud and hectic feel and having to leave to get cash(this is 2016) and having ice im my beer made me not likely to return.

Always consistently good fish. now they finally added a few craft beers on tap, nice. Friday is always packed, check in at 5 and done eating at 630. Best perch in town

Went on a Friday night, busy! They do things a little different. Take a number, grab a drink, wait for someone to take your order, stand around, wait, drink, wait. And when you get seated your food is delivered. Place is nice, big, clean but loud. If you want a nice dinner sitting and socializing before you eat, this is not your place. Kind of reminds me of a pig wrestle I got the perch. Delicious! Pork chop is huge, tender. Great portions for the price. Dinner for four $ 50.00(not sure the bar tab though).

One of the best places in the Green Bay area to get broasted chicken! The baked potatoes and stuffing are good too. Just remember to bring cash since they do not accept credit cards for payment.

Goodness people, just because you get a lot of crappie food does not make this place best of the bay. Unclean tables, rude old people(customers) not servers.

Awesome chicken, good fish, tarter sauce needs some help, but everything is great. Bring cash and get there early on Fridays, unless you don’t mind having a few drinks waiting for a table. Only bad thing I have to say about the place, and keep in mind I’ve been here about a dozen times now, but there are a couple bartenders tend to be the typical supper club type where they only really care for the regulars.

Overall, we were very underwhelmed with everything. The décor was awesome, all Packer, but the food was pedestrian at best. We waited over 2 hours, which was alright because we were with old friends we hardly see. If this had need just a regular evening out, this would have totally turned into an epic fail. They took put order… they did not have the salmon because it was not put on ice and now it was too warm to serve… gross. So we ordered 2 plates of cod and 2 of perch. When we were finally seated, we were informed that something was wrong with the oven, so the baked potatoes we wanted… gone, we got cold fries. We also never got rolls or bread. Drinks were OK, the old fashioned was a little weak for 4 dollars and I had to always ask for more bitters. Overall…it is certainly not worth a 2 hour wait. The food was good, not great by any stretch and the drinks were a little weak sauce. I just don’t see how this place has won massive awards over the last few years… I just don’t get it. Just my opinion.

The Redwood has a really good fish fry and excellent chicken. You get a lot of food for a reasonable price. If you go on Friday, be prepared for a wait. This is a wait-at-the-bar-and – you-will-be-seated-when-your-food-is-served kind of place. We’ve never waited less than an hour, typically longer. If you’re in a hurry, skip Fridays. I would also skip the salmon. Last time I at there, I wasn’t in the mood for fried food, so I got salmon. It was a funny color and extremely mushy. It had either been cooked wrong, was old, or had thawed and been refrozen. It was not edible. I alerted the server, who was extremely rude about the situation, and was told she would«jack somebody up in the kitchen.» She then laughed and walked away. Nothing was done about the situation. I was not given any sort of reduction on my bill, a different meal, or even an apology. I basically paid $ 12 for my baked potato. I will not be going back. Next time I want chicken or fish, I’ll head over to Stadium View or Colonial House. They appreciate their customers.

Our family favorite for Friday fishfry while in GB. An aunt lives here and whenever one of the nephews visits, it’s Redwood for fish, mostly Packers games weekends. Tonight two of us had perch with baked potato and cole slaw. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasty. The broasted chicken also looked delicious on several plates I saw. We arrived at 5:00 and waited 45 minutes. We simply grab a draft or other drink and enjoy some conversation while we wait. We know Friday’s are busiest so we go a little earlier than normal. Enjoy Redwood when you try it.

Pretty good fish. It’s an interesting place. 3 good sized pieces of cod, roll, clarified butter, and fries for 10.95. Squeeze bottles of tartar sauce, slabs of butter, and dishes of sour cream on every table. I hear it’s pretty busy on Friday nights and you should be there before 4PM, but I went on a Wednesday, and it seemed like everyone there was a regular.

Best broasted chicken I’ve ever had; best perch plate I’ve ever had. Great price. I go here every time I’m in Green Bay.
