The Main Salon

I have been here 3 times now and it has been the only place where I have gotten my hair colored in the past year and a half (which can be a little tricky as I live in Chicago). The girls are very knowledgeable and very good at blending. You also cannot beat the price. I came here initially on a Groupon, and have been coming back because a haircut and partial balayage is still under $ 100 on a regular day. I pay more than double that in Chicago for similar services. I can’t wait to come back!

Lets start out with this: Main Salon is a great place for the price! I was very shocked at everything that was included with the $ 30 price tag for a hair cut. Glass of wine, shampoo/​conditioner/​scalp massage, and then a neck message with a great cut and style. I really enjoyed my time and booked a second appointment right before I left. It’s been a day and my hair is still very soft and silky.
The actual salon is very sleek and modern as well, loved the exposed brick and plants. My stylist was friendly and gave me great layers in my hair. My only qualms with this spot is the website… it was hard to figure out the exact services offered and there was no information on parking, so I ended up circling around a bit before I found out where to park, but once I found the spot to book an appt it was super easy and convenient, it even sent me a text reminder! So clean up that site and this would be ⁵⁄₅!

I had the worst experience with them. I have been with layer cut for the last 7 years. No salon had done the worst like these people did. The gal cut off my hair more than I wanted and I could not see good layers as well. She never listened when I asked her not to use hot air blower. I told her 4 times. Next comes is eyebrow waxing. My right eyebrow would have been cut in the middle if she had taken off few more little hairs. When she did this, I lost my temper and complained to her boss. He tried to make my left eyebrow very thin so that both will match to some extent evenly. The highlight is the gal never bothered to apologize for any of the blunders she did. I will never turn back to them.

Wow, very impressed! Was in town on business and needed a trim/​clean up. Great haircut, friendly people, hot towel on my face, scalp and neck massage… good stuff!

Really Cute Place, if atmosphere is your thing this is your place. Exposed Brick and Beams. My Pedicure was awesome and included a massage that made me feel much better about the 40 dollar price. They offer their guests a glass of wine with their service. Over all I think this is a good place to come. They had SOME confusion with our large bridal group but all in all a good place to enjoy some pampering.

Great place for men’s haircuts! Best haircut, not to mention the scalp massage and neck rub. Will definitely be going back.

The service is amazing. The hair cut includes a scalp massage and a hot towel facial. I think it’s the best hair service I’ve ever enjoyed.
