The Reader’s Loft

This is my favorite bookstore. I always make a point to stop in here when I’m in town. It has a good selection of books, and always a good list of recommendations. The décor is old money-​style, and there’s always classical music playing in the background. The chairs are roomy and comfortable, the free cookies are delicious, and the resident cats are friendly, charming, and always up for lounging while you read. It’s like someone reached into my imagination and pulled out the ideal library I’d have in my house if I had the money, and plopped it in a convenient location.

I love stopping in this book store. Whole they may not know me by name like some of the other authors do lol I still love that feeling of a great store to browse through. If there is a book you are looking for and they don’t have it typically they will order it for you so you don’t have to worry about it. They have so many books to choose from it is worth the relaxing time just to go through the books.

I visited this book shop with the intent of finding out if they could help me figure out the value of a rare book I found. They did so much more than that. I walked in and was pleasantly greeted by two beautiful cats laying on the counter. The gentleman behind the desk carefully took my rare book and looked it over. He looked through an online database and gave me a range of what my book might be worth. He was kind enough to give me some advice for keeping and/​or selling the book. He also took the initiative to help me preserve the dust jacket of my rare book by providing (and «installing») a mylar cover over the dust jacket for free while I browsed the store.
The actual store is beautiful. It reminded me of a private library in an old mansion. The ceilings are high and decorative. The walls are a soothing color. There are huge solid wood book cases lining the walls and throughout the store. The book selection is very wide and contains both new and used books. The prices are decent and probably only beaten by clearance departments in other stores.

This is the Green Bay area’s best indie bookstore in a beautiful warm setting. Because they sell both new and used books, there are always good bargains. The selection isn’t exhaustive, but they will special order things for you, and will even consign books for online sale.

This is one of my mom’s favorite spots and during a visit home she took me there to get a gift for a friend and i was surprised at how warm the place was, there are tall wooden bookshelves lining the entire place and soft plush chairs and decorative rugs. it felt like i was in someone’s «study.» They sell NEW and USED books, and the prices are fair on both.
The owner’s cats were sleeping on the checkout counter and happy to accept some affection. The owner is a very nice older gentleman who was quite helpful and recommended some good books. Great place to stop in if you’re not sure what to read next.
