Vandervest Harley-Davidson of Green Bay

In 2010 I was riding an Indian Scout and got frustrated. Knew it would break down and leave me somewhere. I went to Vandervest Custom Cycles for the first time and met Rick Vandervest who was cutting the grass. I told him that if he would take my Indian on consignment, and take a personal check from me, I would buy a new HD from him that afternoon. He agreed and phoned the Peshtigo store to tell them to say open. When I got there they had three HD’s set up for me to test. I picked one out, gave them an out-​of-​state check for $ 25K and rode the bike home. I traded it the following year, and a year later I bought one from them for my wife. It was used and the battery died when we got it home. They sent man over with a new battery and installed it no charge. Since then they have opened in Green Bay — much more convenient. We negotiated — I got a fair deal. I have all my work done there. Last Saturday Vandervest had their annual customer appreciation ride with free chili and dogs. I trust them and they have invested in the community and spend back. If I buy another Harley I’ll go there again and I recommend others consider them too. They took a chance on me … and I appreciate what they do for the community. I am not affiliated or connected with them in any way. Just a satisfied customer. Live to ride… Ride to Live.

Pathetic! I’m a 49 year old from Southern Wisconsin (Kenosha…always went to Uke’s Harley) that was looking buy my 23 Harley (not all together). I walk in 2 years ago to say «Hey, here I am new to the Green Bay area, I can buy the same bike with fewer miles for $ 3700 less and they told me, and I quote, «go buy the f@*ing thing»… so I did.
Well, Today I need a part that is an update from Harley… Walk up to the service counter and get a punk wearing glasses with a (looks like a pet caterpillar under his nose) mustache that I have to argue… I mean argue, to get my damn part…
He and his attitude couldn’t get the job done. So… I run to Docs Harley on 29 and Bam! 7 minutes after I walk in, I walk out with the exact part that everyone on the HD forum was talking about. Which the punk at Vandervest said «HD forum is a joke! Bunch of amateurs…
I install the part and it did exactly what HD forum said it would. I will never go back to Vandervest.
Shouldn’t have to argue to spend money. Its enough that I bought the damn bike…
