I emailed this company asking for a quote on a dumpster, as they were suggested by a friend of a friend. The reply I received was unprofessional. Neither of my questions were answered; I was simply told to go elsewhere for service. All I asked was how much it would be to rent one and the availability of one. I did mention that I wanted one as soon as possible.
It came off as incredibly rude. I understand sometimes things can come off in a different manner via email and text, so I replied back that I felt the answer was rude. I wasn’t addressed in the email. There wasn’t even a signature on the email, so I had no idea who I was speaking to.
The reply I received after WAS EVEN WORSE! She said that she did so because I wanted a dumpster as quickly as possible and she didn’t have one available for me tomorrow. Ok, I understand I wrote I wanted one as quickly as possible, but they didn’t know the other emails/​phone calls I’ve made, nor the pricing and lead times I’ve received from their competition. Clearly I was still looking, and maybe 2 weeks would’ve been perfectly fine with me.
This person was extremely combative during our entire exchange. I was so confused, because I thought this company actually wanted business! Even after asking who I was speaking to, I was not informed, but still being answered. I asked so I could call or email management about this unprofessional person. In what I thought was our final exchange, they STILL didn’t tell me who they were. Then a few minutes later an email popped up in my inbox saying «oh, by the way, my name is Marilyn, one of the OWNERS.»
I was in complete disbelief that an OWNER of a company would speak to a potential client in such a manner. When I wrote back, I said «You’re an owner? WOW! I am also a business owner, and I would NEVER speak to any client, current or potential in such a rude way.»
Her reply after that was just what I expected. She told me she didn’t want to do business with me and that she wouldn’t be renting a box to me.
Why in the hell would I (or anyone) want to do business with someone after being treated the way I was? Stay away unless you want to be treated like dirt.
