This is a lovely little gallery, tucked away in a quiet shopping center. Cha, the owner, has a surprising variety of items on display — bronze sculptures, prints and paintings, fossils, and vintage home items as well as her own ivory carving and glass-work. Subjects are similarly diverse, ranging from Alaskana(polar bears, eagles, lynxes, and the like), to more traditional Southwest themes, to all sorts of curiosities: a fossilized dinosaur embryo, for instance, or an incredibly striking near-life-size sterling silver sculpture of an eagle. But the meat and potatoes of any gallery is presentation, and here the place really shines. Such a collection of esoterica may sound jumbled or mixed(and, indeed, similar collections often are in Arizona shops), but Cha has a great eye for harmonious arrangement of seemingly disparate items. Combined with her obvious knowledge of the pieces, it makes poking through her gallery far more interactive and entertaining an experience than many other similar shops I’ve been to. I recommend stopping by if you’re in the area, especially in the afternoon — the sunlight makes the window display just dazzling!
