I made an appointment for a teeth cleaning on 3÷9÷16. After one and ½ hours in the chair, I was presented with a $ 5,000 treatment plan, and was told I would have to make another appointment for a cleaning. They advertise in the local paper(Green Valley News) for a $ 65 new patient dental exam for $ 65 and that they accept PPO Insurance plans. I provided my dental insurance to the office staff and instead of billing the $ 65 new patient exam rate, my insurance was billed $ 243(an almost 400 percent increase). I emailed the practice immediately, however I have not yet received any written response after a week. I phoned the office after suspecting that I wouldn’t get a response, and I was told that this $ 65 rate did not apply to patients who had insurance. I pointed out that this is not mentioned in the ad, that I was a new patient, and that the ad specifically indicates that they accept PPO insurance plans. They stated that they billed the approved plan billing rates. I told them that the rates that I was billed are not the approved billing rates for Delta Dental insurance, and that the billed rates were significantly higher. Finally, I find their $ 5,000 treatment plan totally ridiculous. About a week after my visit to their office, I visited my regular dentist in Colorado(voted one of Denver’s top dentists for years) where I had my teeth cleaned. He reviewed their plan and charting and did not recommend any additional work. In his professional opinion, it was unnecessary. He also pointed out that their periodontal charting was significantly different from the charting done by his office one week after visiting Legacy Smiles. I would recommend that you look elsewhere for dental work. They appear to jack up the prices and recommend unnecessary and expensive treatments. Buyer Beware.

I have been seeing Dr Kildoo for about 9 years now and I can tell you that she is an outstanding dentist! She cares personally about her patients and is extremely compassionate to the fact that I have sensitive teeth. I have needed a lot of dental work done(growing up without flouride in the water) and together we have taken it step by step to the point now that I usually just need to go in for a cleaning. All of her hygenists are very competent and Rosie is the best! I’m sorry Ruby Z had a bad experience, but I can recommend this dental office without hesitation.

I would not, under any circumstances, recommend this dentist. I have two dental insurances(federal and private) and they quoted me $ 2,000+(yes, my share was two thousand out of pocket) to have a deep cleaning. JUST a deep cleaning– no dental work. The staff are skilled in feigned competency. they want your money bad. but they are far from competent. After speaking with 5 staff, they said that my co-pay would be – oops — 212.00 dollars and they were ‘so sorry’ for the misunderstanding. Beware. I put my money where my mouth is and went elsewhere. I recommend you do the same.
