David Toole’s Original Roadhouse

Yuck… The food was mediocre at best… my steak was overcooked, tough and flavorless. My husband’s food wasn’t much better, although it was cooked the way he ordered it. Really crappy service. Our dining companions were there when we arrived and had drinks. It took the server almost 15 minutes to get our drink order, and at that point they simply stopped by and said «I’ll be with you in a minute» so that was another 5 minute wait. The server didn’t check on us after our food was delivered until most everything was gone. and we were really beginning to wonder if our credit card had taken a trip without us it took the server so long to bring it back.
The place also has a funky smell — like bug spray — which is not appetizing at all — just didn’t look too clean.
You can bet, we won’t go back there…

This food is the very worst. The service is very bad. The servers don’t know anything about what they are serving. The kitchen is very dirty. They advertise CAB and they don’t have it. Skip this one and do yourself a favor.

The old roadhouse grill was a great chain and I was disappointed to see it go. When I saw that this one opened up a couple years back, I never made the trip until last night. Ah, just how I remembered it. You throw peanut shells on the floor and the rolls are simply just awesome. I wasn’t really in the mood for a meal, so I had a salad and spinach queso dip. They had a balloon night going on and the kids got some kick ass ones made of animals. I was tempted to ask the guy to make me one too. My hubby loved his take out. The ny strip was exactly how he wanted it. 14 ounces of deliciousness with a loaded baked potato and a salad. After I saw him eating it at home, I’m getting it next time ;)
