Subway says they have healthy sandwiches but few actually get them that way. Whenever I go to a Subway I’ll inevitably find people who ask for extra cheese and sauce, at least one person who slathers on the oil and vinegar and on several occasions, customers have asked for oil and vinegar on their steak & cheese subs. I felt like Ron Burgundy, «What? You pooped in the refrigerator? And you ate the whole wheel of cheese? How’d you do that? I’m not even mad, that’s amazing.“If you’re gonna slather on that much oil on your«healthy» sandwich, you may as well go to Quizno’s for much better tasting subs. Food — The first time you see them boil the steak is a bit alarming if not a bit disgusting, but I assure you, the meat is delicious after the boiling bath. My favorites are any of the Prime Ribs and though they’re expensive($ 8+ for a large), you can share them… if you want. But seriously, have you seen the amount of «meat» you get @ Subway? The Q serves subs that are bursting w/meat rather than two small trays tossed in the microwave. The Chicken Carbonara with Bacon and Honey Bourbon Chicken are also very good! Where the Q outshines Jared is in their sauces. The only sauce I really like at Subway is the Sweet Onion sauce while at Quizno’s all of the sauces are fatteningly delicious. The best part? The Batch 53(81 in some areas) hot sauce which is at the fixins table — I dip each bite in this stuff. They also have jalapenos, banana peppers, and pickles at the table, as well as several sauces/dressing which I also dip my sandwich into. Location/Service — You walk up and order your sandwich then they boil the meat, place the cheeses on and send it through the oven. At this point, you can also ask for the mushrooms and onions on top. After that, it’s hard to see what veggies they offer as they are obscured by the signage on the sneeze-guard. Mmmmm…mmmmmmm…toasty!
