Stephen Bearg, MD

Well, I’ve read the reviews and am compelled to write my first one. Dr. Stephen Bearg is the best gynecologist I’ve ever had. He’s caring, a great listener, and has never rushed me through any appointments. I’ve had some pretty scary diagnosis, and Dr. Bearg has taken the time to explain things very clearly, and has always found a way to uplift me. I hope to have him as my gyn throughout my life; he’s open, honest, and I’m not embarrassed to talk to him about anything.

After an awful experience with another OB-​GYN, I feel like I won some sort of lottery finding Dr. Bearg. He’s truly the best doctor I’ve ever had — of any medical discipline. He’s smart and helpful and gives great advice, and also seems to genuinely care about his patients and really wants to get to them as people in order to help them better. My first visit with him, I was surprised when he asked all sorts of questions about where I went to college, my passions, and my significant other. He offers advice on ways to de-​stress, and makes you feel calm, happy and hopeful no matter what’s going on. Best doctor ever!

Our experience with Dr. Bearg was outstanding. He was a great listener and never rushed through office visits. He was also very patient during my labor, staying well into the late hours of the night (past his call hours) to deliver our baby. This is not something all doctors would do these days. My husband and I did a lot of research before deciding on an OB/​GYN to deliver our first child. We feel very lucky to have found Dr. Bearg. He exceeded our expectations. We are moving out of state and only hope to find someone as great as he is to deliver our next baby.

Dr Bearg has been my GYN for many years. I’m surprised to read the the review about his listening skills. I tend to go for alternative holistic approaches for my health and even though Dr Bearg doesn’t agree with me on some of my decisions he always listens and he also always let’s me know in a caring way why he supports me doing what he is recommending. I always feel that ultimately he genuinely cares for my health and he also takes time with me and I never feel rushed something very rare in the medical industry.

Dr. Bearg showed quite a lot of patience, compassion and understanding when I first met him for my annual. I was referred to him by a family member who had had only good experiences and was quite pleased. The staff seemed very friendly despite having quite a bit of patients to work with. I would recommend him for one reason alone and that is he is willing to listen and honored the more natural course I chose to follow for a problem I was experiencing. Just had my first visit with Dr. Bearg. He is so friendly, professional and attentive. He made me feel at ease right away, and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a wonderful OBGYN.

This doctor is such a creep and not a good communicator. Before he entered the room I could hear him talking about other patients and even heard him call one of the nurses a bitch. I have never been so uncomfortable with a doctor of any kind in my life.

I thank my lucky stars I found Dr. Bearg when I was pregnant with my son… I only wish I had found him during my first pregnancy. I wanted to have a drug free, natural childbirth and he was very supportive of that. He is very attentive, thorough, knowledgeable, caring, and gave me lots of great advice on how to prepare for a natural childbirth. He was the doctor that delivered my son and it could not have gone better, I trusted him 100%. I gave birth to a 10.9 lb baby (ya you read that right, almost 11 lbs) and I recovered really fast. I left the hospital a day early, was walking around… very smooth recovery. I cannot thank him enough for everything, my family and I are so grateful for such a wonderful experience!
