Service was slightly below average. They really could care less I was there. The place was fairly empty and in need of cleaning. I ordered a chicken strip basket and asked for gravy for the Texas toast. When it was delivered to my table, no gravy. When I went to request some gravy they stated nobody knew how to make gravy. Really? Wow. The chicken strips were good, but on the small side. The french fries portion was very small. The toast was very good. $ 9 for something that barely would fill up a child is a ripoff. When I went up to ask for bbq sauce they said it would be an extra 50 cents. Unbelievable. Probably won’t be back anytime soon. The place is run by high school aged kids who rather talk to each other than pay attention to their customers.

Évaluation du lieu : 1 Greencastle, IN
This location has been open about a year now. I have hesitated visiting until recently. Its reputation for poor service established itself very quickly in the community of Greencastle, Indiana. Nevertheless, I decided to give it a fair go. Upon arriving at 11:00pm on a Friday night recently, my wife and I came in contact with the service person at the front counter. We never received a greeting, in fact, the young lady literally stood there and stared at us.
She finally asked, «well, what do you want?» We placed our order, then she proceeded to tell the young man who was cleaning the grill area, «you’re gonna make that for me because you love me, right?» He said, «I can’t.» She then said she«had to go outside because she had to get keys for somebody’s car.» The young man stopped what he was doing, cleaned himself up and made our ice cream order. He was super friendly and did a good job. This young man deserves a raise for his attitude and for working to do his job well. Who appeared to be the manager then walked inside, quite briefly, to ask if we had been waited on. We said, «yes», then she immediately walked back outside. As my wife and I sat in the couch area, I became increasingly irritated at how the first two female employees seem to lack concern for how they were performing and treating me as a customer. I lifted the blind and began to watch these two ladies and another male employee as they stood speaking to someone in a truck. I suppose my lengthy stare made them uncomfortable. They responded by entering the restaurant and speaking loudly. Such a poor experience then seemed to force me to examine the restaurant more closely. After just a year of being open, I became surprised at the condition of the store. Dirty baseboards, table legs with greasy, sticky substances on them, floor grout was filthy, restrooms seem to only be attended to and not cleaned, trash receptacles dirty, window sills dusty, napkin dispensers dirty. It all became uncomfortable. I began to understand why so many in the community have avoided this particular Dairy Queen. With grounded establishments such as Dairy Castle, Charlie’s, and even McDonald’s, there is no worry. There are plenty of other establishments with great product and excellent employees waiting to offer great service, a great experience, all at a great value. I am happy to give these other businesses my money. It’s unfortunate for Greencastle Dairy Queen. They have lost this customer for good, and I will not and do not recommend this location to anyone.
