Worst experience ever! I had reservations with this hotel 3 weeks prior to our event, I reserved it for trainers that were coming in from Ohio. They were bringing in ADF service dogs, I explained this to the lady and she assured me that it would not be an issue. Then she goes on to ask if the people would be dining there as well with the dogs because they have a wedding party there that weekend… REALLY??? So 3 days prior to the event they call and say the A/C in that room is out would you like the number to Holiday Inn express? I explained to her that they were booked up because I had already checked due to her comment about the dining! I had other people call them about reserving a room that same weekend and they were told that they would not rent them a room due to a wedding party possibly booking the rooms which is fine until the lady tells me oh no we can rent her a room please have her call me back, she does and they tell her again that they have no rooms available… JUSTNO!!! I am not impressed at all!!! Do yourself a favor go elsewhere!

They have a bike on display that was made from a lawn mower. Pretty cool. We had food catered from Dixie for our clients and they seemed satisfied with their turkey and ham sandwiches. The staff is really friendly here.

I visited here with family, I’m from California. It looked like a good menu and an interesting place to eat. However, our server was way overworked and kept forgetting things. Her compadre was happy flitting around talking and not serving. We were there on all-you-can-eat crab and catfish night. My cousin had catfish, he asked for 2 refills and each one was cooked more and more,(the server kept forgetting to bring tartar sauce even after he asked). The last serving was dry and overcooked. I had a chef salad and almost got dressing with it. I asked for more, and got about a tablespoon amount. The salad was huge, no problems with that if you like it dry. Forget about drink refills. I have to say I was disappointed as a whole.

We were brought to the Dixie Chopper by family and this place had awesome deep fried green beans as an appetizer. It was a first for me, and they were so yummy! The green beans were crunchy(not mushy as if they came from a can) and the breading was crisp and light(not thick greasy breading). The spicy dipping sauce complimented the beans perfectly. The Dixie Chopper is a local hot spot. The place was packed with locals(they all knew each other) for supper. It was great! I had the soup and salad bar. Their tomato shrimp bisque soup was phenomenal. It tasted like clam chowder to me. Very flavorful. Friendly staff. Great prices. Cozy and comfortable. Totally low key.
