Family Video

The only video store still open in Greencastle, so you don’t have a choice but to go here (or one of the 4+ Redbox locations in town) to rent your movies.
Video selection is awesome and they always seem to have enough copies of the major new releases on hand (Tuesday’s are new release days). Family Video will have new releases ASAP, Redbox and Netflix do not. Another advantage to supporting your local video store.
Monthly membership fee is $ 9.99 in addition to what it costs to rent the DVDs. I can’t really remember what the advantages are to purchasing the membership every month (cheaper rentals maybe?), but staff really encourages the sale of this (they have quotas to meet, after all). You can rent movies for much longer here than you can at Redbox as well; 5 nights instead of just one.
Store (inside and outside) is clean and tidy, they never have too many people on staff and the business hours are good. They are even open on major holidays like July 4^th, Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
Staff is typically pleasant. Again, they really push the add-​on sales membership, candy, drinks, popcorn, etc.).
Bonus: I received quite a few ‘we miss you, please come back’ coupons from them when I was living in Greencastle; which was nice.
