I should mention right off the bat that I am a coupon-​clipping scrimper and saver. Enter Barbara’s Hallmark in Southridge Mall.
I love that I can go there after any given holiday and purchase wrapping paper for 75% off, and sometimes up to 90% off. And don’t forget to sign up for the Hallmark Crown Card for special deals and discounts. I stock up when they have their post-​holiday sales (go right to the back of the shop). Need really kick-​ass, nice Christmas cards? You can buy boxes of them for pennies on the dollar right after Christmas. Save them for next year. Your friends and family will not know the difference.
If you’re an ornament collector (I’m not), you will also like their selection of Hallmark ornaments. They do have some clever gift items from time to time as well. This is especially true if you are a fan of Charles Schultz Peanuts character themed merchandise.
At any rate, I will confirm that there definitely is a difference in the superior quality of the Hallmark brand when it comes to wrapping and packaging supplies. It can make a otherwise «thrifty» gift seem spectacular. «Smoke and mirrors, my friend».
What I also appreciate is the level of service I receive from the staff at this store – always pleasant, always knowledgeable.
