Aldi’s is getting better and better, not that it was ever bad… Personally, I enjoy the Casa Mamita salsa… I should buy stock in that stuff for the amount I go through! The Asian line of products is usually very good, and they have broccoli and cheese and cordon bleu stuffed chicken breasts that are also delicious. They occasionally carry yummy pretzel buns, and now that it’s Christmas, marzipan! They are also carrying poinsettias now, at a good size, for less than $ 4! There are some things that are rotated in and out throughout the year. I don’t know what the holiday or event is that ushers in the Asian products, but the German stuff comes in for Oktoberfest and Christmas. Some Mexican foods are staples, but then at some point in the year, they get a larger variety. These are the three ethnicities that I’ve noticed. They have some name brand items(most are what we would consider generic); Coke, M&M’s, sometimes Snickers products or Reese’s, but really, all of their stuff is pretty good. 74⁄2014

You should know ALDI is awesome! You should know ALDI is the sister store to Trader Joe’s, some of the products are the same, just under different labels. You should know that ALDI has some great deals on great products that you can’t get anywhere else. Some of my favs– Blue Corn Tortilla Chips — gluten free, no msg, 1.69 for a large bag AND they taste great; not too salty, just great corn taste. Hummus — this is also great, tastes fresh, no fillers, and at 1.69 it’s half the price for the same amount of national brands in the grocery store. N2 Sports Drink — I used to be a Gatorade junkie. But there’s a lot of sugar with all those electrolytes. Enter ALDI’s N2. It’s very low calorie, low sugar but high taste sports drink in grape, lime and punch. And at only 69 cents for a 32 ounce bottle is blows Gatorade’s price out of the water. Cheddar cracker snack packs — another ALDI creation that tastes great and also has no corn oil or msg. Six 100 calorie snack bags are only 1.99 Vegetable Chips — This is one of my newest finds, and I’m absolutely glad I discovered these. Baked discs of beets, sweet potatoes, taro and parsnips with sunflower oil and no trace of msg or corn oil. These are simply addicting. And at 2.99 for a huge bag one can afford to feed said addiction! Gorgonzola Cheese Crumbles — I love cheese. And I really love good cheese. But when good cheese like this comes at a great price(1.99 for 9 ounces) then it a bonus. And the little crumbles will add big flavor wherever you use it. You should know that to keep prices low they don’t take credit cards, but debit is accepted, and bring your own bags, or buy there’s for 10 cents each. So what you really should know if that you should just get here!
