Carol’s Cornerstone Cafe

I would give zero stars if that was an option. This place is dirty and the service is terrible!!! Absolutely terrible service. I have gone back several times for carryout after they have gotten orders incorrect and taken forever, but I will never go back again. There is no procedure for carryout and everyone ignores you when you come in to pick it up. I sent my boyfriend in to pick up a carryout that was supposed to take 20 minutes and we waited over an hour only to find out it had supposedly been sitting back there ready! I called upset and the owner’s daughter in law said I could get the meal replaced next time. Well, when I just called to ask Carol about it, SHE called me a liar!!! She claims she checked a video and never saw my boyfriend come in to pick it up, that is just ludicrous!!! It’s hilarious how clueless a business can be, I doubt they will stay in business much longer

Yup the reviews are right. If you have to eat here order the tenderloin. Maybe they will get a new cook or something.

I always past by this place but never tried it. I finally got brave and tried it for the first time last night. What a mistake. The food was bland. Customer service was awful. My daughter ordered spaghetti I didn’t know you could screw up spaghetti but they managed to. No selection on the buffet. I was told what they only put put food at 4:00 and once it’s gone it’s gone. Which we were there at 7:00. We all went home and had cereal.

Cafeteria quality food at best. On top of that, the one time I ate here it just so happened to be a folk music band night. This place is way to small in the dining area to be having a band. I couldn’t hear a single word my wife was saying and she was sitting just on the other side of the table.

Man, I really, REALLY hate to make this review. I have a special affinity for small town, locally owned diners, and I REALLY want to see them succeed.
That said, Carol’s was just a sub par experience. The food was bland and nearly tasteless, and the service was borderline rude.
There are much better places in Greenfield to spend your money.

I would never eat here. Ever wonder where the druggies in community corrections across the street work? Not to mention I know someone who worked there and had to quit after just a few days. She witnessed another employee smashing garbage down with a spatula, yes the same one that was used to cook food. A cutting board so saturated with food liquids (and apparently unwashed) that it had to be pried from the counter with the same said spatula as before. She mentioned the unsanitary conditions and was pretty much told to shut up and not say anything, so she quit… No thanks.

There is no consistency here. Service, food, etc. might be great one day and soso the next. Service is sometimes slow so don’t be in a hurry when you go. I have been in at breakfast time and all the tables were empty of people but were covered with dirty dishes. We moved the dishes to another table so we could set down but had to ask for someone to wipe the table. We ordered, received our food and the next 2 groups of people had to do the same thing we did. The parking is not conducive to a wheelchair

Below average food coupled with extremely poor upkeep doesn’t make for a great dining experience. When it comes to service, Carol’s Cornerstone Café, settles for mediocrity. The interior looks like a creepy cat lady’s house being featured in an episode of Hoarders. I would only recommend this restaurant to a family of rats, but unfortunately, it seems that rats have already discovered Carol’s.

The place is much larger than it looks. It offers several specials for both lunch and dinner every day. It comes across as «good home cookin’,» and like a lot of those places, the food is passable but certainly not anything you would go out of your way to eat. The plastic coverings on the tablecloths are just. .. odd.
