I can thank Crabby Jerry’s for starting my summer off right. Had lunch here on Friday of MDW2016, and truthfully it was EVERYTHING i came out to Greenport for. Sat in the sun, drank AWESOME Strawberry Margaritas, and had a HUGE seafood platter. Lobster, Corn, Shrimp and some clams i think. Everything was fresh, everything was awesome. I also polished off… Coconut Shrimp, fried clams, deep fried shrimp, and Some French fries. I cant tell you how much I enjoyed my lunch at Crabby Jerry’s. I was actually REALLY surprised how fresh the food was. Typically you are paying for the atmosphere and the food is lackluster. Couldn’t be further from the truth.

Ok ok the 5 stars is for Sylvia & Chris at the bar! The food I’d give 3 stars. Good not great. My crews foray into Greenport ended here but our experience was so stellar we wished we had started here too! We came here because we got hungry & Jerrys seemed a better choice of the Claudio’s enclave because Claudio’s was loud & packed. So glad we walked over to the other pier. Chris was fun & funny while Sylvia made our excellent drinks & took great care of us. She had an easy way of having good conversation with us. While Chris was in the background with his one liners. Great team working together. Oh the food! I almost forgot. It was good. Not great. My son said his double burger was great though. I had the soft shell crab sandwich & a corn with shrimp chowder. Very satisfying. I will contend that you come here to eat & drink & have great conversation without the drunken raucous over in the other side. You can still hear the music without the crowd. But head back over to the other side to get your boogie shoes workout. I myself will be back to Jerrys! For Chris & Sylvia! 5-28-2016

My first lobster roll experience was here and I have to say, I loved it. I loved the pricing, the food, the sitting on the deck looking out at the water and the boats. The bartender was duper nice. Chris I believe. He helped us out on a couple of questions we had about things to do in town. We were visiting for a friends wedding in Southold at the Bedell Cellars and we wanted to hang but not do all touristy stuff. So, Chris was filling us in on local activities. Thanks CHRIS for not judging us since we were literally tourists visiting for the first time. The water and the breezes as we sat there enjoying the lobster roll and my hubby’s lobster, oysters ad clams, as well as our beers and bloody marys was phenomenal. Greenport is such a cool laid-back place. Wish we lived closer so we could visit more often. Hope to see you again soon Long Island.

I’m sure locals have their favorites, but there is nothing wrong with this spot. Great location, nice views right on the pier. Lobster salad was good, crab cakes were too. Sweet potato fries with… Vanilla yogurt as dipping sauce(took us a while to figure it out). Fish and chips for the road. Seafood prices hurt; then again its pretty much market price for seafood.

This is a review of Crabby Jerry’s only– NOT Claudio’s or Claudio’s Clam Bar, and only on the bar area. I didn’t try the food, mainly because after waiting at the bar for a solid 15 minutes and getting no service whatsoever, I really wasn’t interested in giving the business my money for anything. My friend and I got a seat at the bar while we were waiting for our friends to finish up their meals. There were two bartenders and the bar was not crowded; I watched several people get served immediately. The bar is round, though you wouldn’t know it because the bartenders never checked the guests on the other side of the bar. When I went to the«front,» I still couldn’t get service. I wanted to yell to get their attention, but I know that that’s just rude. If you’re looking to get a drink, save yourself the time and aggravation and go somewhere else! There are PLENTY of other places!

Went with my family. This place is alittle different but in a good way. You find our own seats/table. You wait on one line to order your food. You get a number and when they call your number, you pick up your food. Like the Deli counter at the supermarket. They have a bar with bartenders, but no servers. It is all outside dining and we went on a beautiful day so the views of Shelter island were spectacular.

Well, stay away unless New England clam chowder is what you’re looking for. I had the cold lobster platter, the lobster was tough, probably frozen. The baked clam terrible. Little clam, lots of bread. They never offered me crackers for my lobster, so in the middle of my meal I had to go in my purse to get 5 dollars to pay for the lobster crackers so I could eat. This place is terrible. I’ll never go back. the clam strips were cold, the clams on the half shell were very good. beautiful view. Food terrible.

Really slow service. Give yourself plenty of time because you’ll be waiting a while. They need more help at the front, the girl was so slow moving for a long line!

Beware this place is absolutely terrible!!! All of the food we ordered was clearly frozen and not fresh. We figured it had a good location on the water so it should have decent seafood, WRONG! Overpriced for what you get, we basically threw $ 50 in the trash after taking one bite and still left with stomach aches. Do yourself a favor and don’t go here!

Would have been 5 stars if I did not have to stand in line for 45 minutes to order. The poor girl taking orders also got the drinks. They need someone helping with the drinks. We just wanted a coke. There was 6 in our group and getting a table is dicey even for 2 so go, easy or go after 3 for lunch. I must say that the food was outstanding. My husband and I both got the cold lobster plate and an order of steamed clams. We were pleased with the price and really happy with all the food. I would return there in a heartbeat if I were in that area.

Claudios family restaurant on their business chain. Sample their seafood platter. The clam was over fried, the shrimp was okay but I love how they do my fish. The sides included are not proportioned for the seafoods in the package. Love their fries though, tasted like Kentucky’s.It’s pricey for me. The waiting time for the order was short than I expected. The cleaning staff for the tables were quick. Once a table is available, they cleaned it right away making for customers to enjoy their experience right away. A plus is that it has plenty of room for a waterfront seating. It has nice and free view of the water and all thats happening there that I ended up enjoying every second of my dining stay. We stayed longer than we thought that we witnessed their night dining too. Their lights added extra nice feeling to its comfy ambiance. I’ll come back and probably try their other stuff if time and chance permits.

Tellement américain. Assiettes en, couverts en plastique m, on s’installe sous une tente, on commande et on pickup des lobsters délicieux. 100 $ pour 4: pas donné mais c’est du lobster. Simple, populaire, vue sur mer imprenable,

Right on the dock in Greenport harbor just across from Claudio’s Clam bar but with the benefit of no large yachts blocking your view of Shelter Island. Order at one window pick up at the next. Clams on the half shell @ $ 7.95 as compared to $ 9.00 at the restaurants up the street. I had the seafood platter with ½ a lobster a bunch of peel your own large shrimp and raw clams. My wife had a really nice salad with Feta and strawberries. Eat inside or out on the deck. Great casual spot with a large bar.

Our first stop when we’re arrived for our weekend getaway from NYC! We arrived right when they were opening on a Friday afternoon and the bartender and staff were very nice! We ordered our drinks from the bar and our food from the window and sat ourselves! Very casual! Before we knew it, all the tables around us were full! The food: Lobster Roll — amazing!!! Everything we expected with a healthy portion of lobster!!! Would definitely order again Fried Flounder — fish was fresh and tender, but I may not be a flounder fan as I don’t think I would order again Fried Shrimp — was good! Tender, good size. Batter wasn’t too greasy or heavy. Fish and Chips — I wish they gave a larger portion of fish … We got two small strips and one longer strip. I thought it would be a more generous portion, especially since the batter was very fluffy, so the amount of fish was every less. The fish was okay This place is right on the water — great environment and friendly staff. Food was okay, not ten absolute best, but pretty good. Would come here again and recommend to others for the overall experience!

Crabby Jerry’s wins on location. You really can’t beat theirs, and I imagine in the summer they make a killing on tourists and locals alike. It’s über casual with many of the patrons being boaters docking for a bite and some beers. The furniture is the plastic variety, as is everything else including the flatware and table dressings. Here’s the skinny on the food… Surprisingly good buffalo chicken salad Tasty local steamers Decent soft shelled crab(I’ve had a lot better) The bottom line is that it’s a no frills, casual joint where you can grab a beer and some fried seafood on the water; and on a summer day, what more can you ask for?

Alright 4 stars for the awesome view, and great drink that the nice bartender made me. I needed a day to escape, so I drove myself almost two hours to Greenport and went here for lunch. I was attracted by the amazing, breezy view. I was able to grab some food and sit at the bar. Luckily it was a Monday afternoon, and while it was not empty, there was not a crowd. I see other reviewers said the food is overpriced. I did not look at all the prices but I have experienced so many overpriced seafood places on Long Island, and I felt this one was not as bad as most. I got a softshelled crab sandwich for $ 17 which came with chips and coleslaw. THEBEST coleslaw mind you. The sandwich was great, so juicy. Maybe a tad oily, but some people like that. It was a small crab, but it filled me up. One thing that bothered me was the bag of lays that came with it. I mean at least give me north fork chips or something. Lays are so damn cheap, I can go get that anytime! The coleslaw was so good that I did not harp on the lays. I also got an $ 11 drink from the bar which was good… nice ratio of alcohol to the rest of the juices. Not happy with the $ 11 price tag, but I guess that is the greenport price you pay! Excited to bring some friends here in the future

If you are looking for a place to sit out on the waterfront, have an iced tea or beer, some seafood etc… this is a good place to go. It sits out on the dock in Greenport with water on three sides overlooking Shelter Island. I’ve stopped in twice in the past month. Both times it was a good experience. Clams on the half shell, fried seafood platters, iced tea. The food is good but not great so set your expectations right. It’s more about the experience and location than fine dining. You place your order at a window(or with the bar tender if you sit at the bar as we did) and they callout your number to pick it up. No table service. You can sit at the bar and they will bring it over to you(if the bartender is keen on generating a better tip I think). It’s a covered seating and bar area so it’s also nice when it’s hot and you need to get out of the sun. Definitely a go to place in Greenport for a nice lunch on the waterfront.

1 Star for the view(there would be more of course but I am reviewing Crabby Jerry’s not the beautiful water) and 1 for the almost empty plate of food. So we walk down to Crabby Jerry’s for the view knowing full well it will be ridiculously overpriced like any restaurant on the water. Normally I love Claudio’s and go to the Clam Bar rather than the restaurant to enjoy the outdoors. So we decide to just have a beer or two and eat elsewhere because we were hungry. After 2 beers the enormously long line is down to 3 people so I(stupidly) say, «Oh why not, we’ll just get an appetizer». I choose the $ 12 crab legs because the guy next to me had them and it took him over a half an hour to finish his meal(In retrospect I realize he was just slow and it must have been the $ 30 dinner he had plus the lack of a crab cracker). My boyfriend got the Buffalo Chicken Strip«Dinner». So my $ 12 appetizer(yes I am bitter) consisted of 4 skinny, short legged crab legs with no cracker and his consisted of 4 thumb sized strips for $ 8.95 and no fries! What? On a dinner no fries? At this point I am just embarrassed to be seen with myself since I knew not to purchase food there. So when I couldn’t crack open one of the mini legs — due to their tiny size and my hands being too big even though I am a somewhat skinny girl — I go up for a cracker and the sign says, «deposit for cracker and please clear your own table». Oh, OK, so they don’t want to pay for bussers with the extra money they make off of people by not putting more than 2 bites of food on the plates, but they will ask for a deposit for the only utensil that is not plastic? My question for Mr Claudio is this, «Is this how you feed your children at home?». No vegetable with dinner, no potato, no water? Apparently Claudio’s owns the entire waterfront with our money! What a bunch of silly diners we are not taking advantage of our own property. I want my name on that deed. Lastly, after our mini meal and appetizer we went to La Capricciosa Pizza and each had a slice which was larger than our entire meals put together and quite delicious. Go to Crabby Jerry’s for the view and a beer(the mixed drinks are $ 11 and $ 12 when on special). I think Mr Claudio thinks Greenport is the Hamptons. Someone needs to tell him there is no Ocean(no offense to those who live on the Sound which is beautiful),
