Literally no redeeming qualities about this place whatsoever. Awful clientele, awful juice-head bouncers, awful beers, awful music. It wasn’t as bad back in the day, but now I get annoyed just walking by it on my way to Speakeasy.

Being from the Jersey Shore, this bar was definitely shocking to me. I went with some of my new neighbors and we had a lot of fun though. The inside is dark and before the band they played soft classic rock; definitely not a place to «pregame» for a night out with your friends. But definitely a good place to go after 10pm for some country/rock cover band style music. Bartenders were decent; one was bored and snotty and the other was sweet and friendly. No clue whether we’ll go back or not. FYI, they do not serve food. Bummer. But there are plenty of places nearby to grab a bite to eat.

Don’t waste your time or hard earned money going here! The whole staff is rude and look down on everyone. Who do they think they are? I’ve lived in NY and vegas… have never in my life been to such a #@&*! Place in my life. Hope it out of business very soon. All of the slobs working there need to be unemployed.

Agree with others who have mentioned that this place has gone way down hill. I didn’t go that much but thought this was a decent place to stop at after work to get some drinks. Especially on Wed with their great burger special. A few months ago my husband and I were looking for a place showing a UFC bout. Buckheads had been advertising on the radio that they were showing it and they came up on UFC’s listings. Buckheads also advertised on their website and their marquee. Great. Sounds good. Headed there with my husband– we are in our late 30’s, and we were dressed like normal adults. At the door– they would not let my husband in because he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt(this was Feb and it was his coat). Said it was not allowed with their dress code and directed him to the sign on the door(which doesn’t help after I drive 30 minutes to get there). After much complaining– they let us in after grilling us about why we were there and how long we would stay. Inside– the place was a hot mess. Downstairs it sounded like they were trying to have some sort of dance club atmosphere going on. Upstairs the vibe was more country. There were plenty of t.v.‘s but no UFC stuff on. We got a table and asked the server if they were really showing it. She said yes and that they would be turning it on soon. We ordered a beer. 2 nice beers. They arrived in plastic cups. Am I at a frat party? Your telling me you can’t serve a nice beer in a real glass? Strike 2. We sat where we had a good view of a large TV assuming that would be showing the fight. Then– a band started setting up right in front of it??? Really? We again asked our server what was going on. She said the band was going to start at 10 on the stage(in front of the large t.v.). But the headline fights also starts at 10. She said they would be on the other t.v.‘s. We asked how we would hear it with a live band going on. She said they were also showing it downstairs and outside in back. Did I mention there was a dance party downstairs and and it was freezing and Feb? Strike 3. We left our plastic beers and headed downtown to a far better place to watch the fight with t.v.‘s on, sound, and hey– a beer in a real glass. What a thought. This place has a serious identity crisis. Are you a club? A sports bar? A saloon? Or a music venue? I don’t think they have a clue and they are trying to do them all at once and it sucks. Their one redeeming quality was the Wed burger but now I see they don’t do that any more along with the Tuesday trivia. They are not even open those days anymore. Looks like a sinking ship to me…

Atmosphere sucks. They book lousy bands and their drink prices are outrageous. The crowd they seem to attract seems cherry picked to who they want seen in the bar. I guess being thirsty and having a wallet full of cash isn’t good enough anymore.

Music downstairs was great as always, the female bartender was awesome but didn’t realize Saturday nights is gay night now??? And some of the nerdiest gay people I’ve ever seen.

I’d heard the rumors about how out-of-hand the bouncers can be, but decided to go regardless. Instead of proving the naysayers wrong, they lived up to every complaint I’d heard. They were both rude and aggressive to those standing in line. It made both my fiancé and I feel very uncomfortable. I will not be back.

They would not let my husband in who had a military print style camo hat with a Colorado Rockies symbol on it(no flat bil) And keep in mind we are an active military family who had our military IDs The bouncer said ‘dress code in effect at 9pm no camo hats’ and I told him this is our first visit here(which was truth) and I wasn’t aware of your dress code nor was it posted on your website because I looked for one due to Unilocal ratings about dress code. THEN two people after us were allowed in the door with hunting camo style hats on. So my husband asked about them and no one acknowledged him. Yeah your welcome for your freedom assholes!! Your bar staff is ugly too and not friendly either. We won’t be back and I’ll be sure to spread the word about how bad your bar sucks!

DISCRIMINATORY and DISRESPECTFUL!!! I dressed very yuppie and I came with timberland boots. This place just straight turned me away for wearing timberlands and called me gangster. I’m a professional and I’m wearing no baggy clothes. I understand dress code but to call me GANGSTER??? none of my outfit is baggy, in fact, I had a small black tshirt and slim jeans. They proceeded to threaten to BAN me if I had a problem with it just because I told them I didn’t like being called a gangster. I have to say, I will never come to this place ever!!!

Over the past few months things have really gone downhill. First of all, the claims of racism are true. It’s not like it’s restricted to your average thug looking guy either — they wouldn’t let my buddy in, and he’s one of the whitest black guys ever. They told him he couldn’t come in because there was a big party downstairs. I walked right in 10 mins later, and the entire place was dead. There were probably 5 people downstairs, and maybe 15 upstairs. Second, there used to be a lot of young fun people there, and it was always packed. Now, it’s all 40+ people, and when it used to be packed, there’s now like 30 or 40 people(basically the bar looks empty at that number of people). I’m not sure what’s going on with that. The only guess I have is that it seems the only bands they book now are 80’s cover bands — which are cool every once in a while, but if you do that consistently, yah, you’re going to draw the 40+ crowd, and there’s only so many of those running around Greensboro on a Friday or Saturday night so that would account for the low numbers… Also, they got rid of trivia on Tuesdays. So all of this is why I’m downgrading my rating. If things don’t improve it will be downgraded further. This also makes me sad that this is happening, because this is my dukedom!

Incompetent staff. Who the hell is training these bartenders and staff??? I orderd 3 baby Guinness Guinness shots. The one glass had a chunk of glass inside of it and my girlfriend almost swallowed it. The patron XO was warm. I waited to see if they were going to subtract 1 shot from the bill… they could have cared less. We ordered a Maker’s and a splash of coke. She comes back with a plastic 6 Oz cups with a few ice cubes. They said after a certain time they only do plastic. So what you’re telling me is you overserve and can’t handle it?? And this is how you serve top shelf liquor? The waitress finally made it right and brought us out in real drink and told me that she could not guarantee that We would get them like this all night we kindly told her if She didn’t we would leave. The waitresses we’re very nice and we were nice to them and grateful for accommodating our wishes. After all a handful of us spend over $ 400. If management had some skills and ambition it would be a great place to go. Good bands and decent food. Oh… and when the band’s take a break I feel like the dj just came out of a strip club cuz he was off that night. Cheeeeezy… get rid of him!

I really like the food here. It’s not terribly expensive and it’s very filling. I love their bacon cheese fries. The waitresses are hired largely for their looks, but I don’t recall having one who did a bad job. It’s definitely lively later in the evening — the live music is ear-splittingly loud, to the point where I have to stuff paper napkins in my ears, and the waitresses get up and dance on the bar every hour Coyote Ugly-style and occasionally give out free shots of something vile like peach schnapps. There are always cabs lined up waiting to take the drunks home, and down the sidewalk there’s usually a guy selling grilled sausage dogs. I wasn’t aware they even had a dress code, but I’ve never had a problem. I always show up in an oxford or polo shirt, chino slacks or well-fitted jeans, and a ball cap, and no one hassles me because I don’t look like a troublemaker. If you look like you just parked your purple Crown Vic on 24s, you’ll probably get turned away.

DJ ruined all the good songs with some crappy basement remix he made, bouncers are complete jerks they won’t let anyone wear a hat inside the place or a jacket even when it’s freezing cold outside… Food was cold and the servers are way beyond stuck up! They need new management.

Again, I tried to give it one last shot. Messaged the Facebook page to make sure my boyfriend could wear his cut in, they said no problem. Drive all the way there, the bouncers let us in and the owner immediately kicks us out. I was livid.

I really enjoy the crowd that buck head attracts, the servers and bartenders. The live bands upstairs are pretty cool but can be hit or miss. Down stairs you have the underground where it is more of a top 40 bar/dance area with a pool table, and an outside area to smoke. The biggest downside to this place is the bouncers are a pain in the ass. One week there isn’t a dress code the next week there is… The next week your slim jeans are to baggy or some other retarded comment to keep guys out. I will be posting a picture of my «baggy» pants!

As a near 40 year old man — this was a great place to people watch and relive the good olé days with my buddies — however, not sure I am the target audience here. They do have tons of TV’s and it would be a great place to watch a sporting event here in Gboro. The beer was not to expensive. We did not eat any food.

I like this place. I came here the first time just for the upstairs sports bar and saloon type place, and it was nice enough – not great food, but that’s not why we were here. I then wandered around a bet, and there is a real big more lounge type place in the basement, and a pretty nice area in the back. Definitely one of the better spots in it’s area.

Man — i sooo wanted to like this place as i am a sucker for a sports bar and its near my house. My first visit was a lunch stop on a Saturday afternoon. It was only ¼ full but i waited 10 minutes, honestly, for anyone to come by to take my order. I finally went to the hostess stand and was told to take a seat and someone would be with me soon(she did not even leave the hostess stand!). After another couple of minutes i left. My second visit was on a Sunday afternoon to check out their NFL Sunday Ticket and catch the afternoon round of games. Service took a few minutes to get to us, but at least we were served — that’s a start. Ordered the wings as our server highly recommended them. Didn’t get a chance to try them though as she forgot to put in the order. Oh well, as a sports bar sucker, i am sure i will be back at some point. But maybe try the bar this time for cold ones only!
