Funny variety shop with a bunch of gag gifts — definitely coming back to buy the Crazy Cat Lady board game one of these days. (Okay, probably not.) It is a fun place to meander through and discover items or gag gifts you would never EVER need to buy, but entertaining nonetheless. Some of the merch is a little trashy and way overpriced.
In the back there’s a ton of weed (I mean, tobacco) merch including my personal favorite — a line of pipes designed to look like penii — that you put up to your… yeah, I’m done.

When you see Betty Boop in the window you know you are at Glitter’s! Guess she is a Permanent fixture! This is a cool place! T shirts, Posters, Wooden Indians, Old Robots, Knives and Toys! This place has Charm!

‘meh’ sums it up for me.
Great stock, great posters and funny trinkets and tobacco items… but MAN can it get pricey. Considering there are a bunch of other competitively priced head shops in the immediate area — I was always shocked at how popular this place was. As I said, great inventory — but a lot of their items are vastly over priced.

Now THIS is a head shop!
Glitters has been in Greensboro for decades, providing all the cool kids with items like posters, rock music t-shirts, tarot cards and incense plus they have the best selection of Buddhas in the Triad.
Oh yeah, they sell those funny-looking pipe thingys in the back… for tobacco of course.
Yes, 100%, absolutely, positively for TOBACCO USE ONLY!
My favorite memory of Glitters (Mom, if you are reading this, it would be better for you to quit your browser now)…

The most memorable moment of mine that concerns Glitters is when I walked in one day and found MY SISTER checking out AND BUYING one of those funny little pipes!
To make things worse, she was buying accessories!!!
And yes, I milked it for everything it was worth.
