Good location that always has the things that I need. The store is always clean, and the staff is always nice. I would say this is my favorite Harris Teeter location because they carry my favorite ice cream and no one else ever has it. The Ben and Jerry’s Milk and Cookies flavor. If you haven’t tried it, get you a pint. You won’t be disappointed! Thank me later :)

Nothing really special about this particular Harris Teeter. I stop here sometimes on my way back into town since it’s on the way home. Each time I have been here the staff has been friendly and I have found everything I needed.

Dropped by in the middle of the day, March 31. One register open. I was the only one that needed to be checked out. The cashier was more concerned about the fact that her replacement had not shown up than properly bagging my groceries. She was distracted and didn’t even acknowledge me after I paid. When I got home, I discovered that one of my bags was missing. I called HT, and the customer service found it at that cashier’s station. She didn’t put it in the cart! It seems like service has gone down since the last manager was transferred. Time to go back to Lowe’s for our groceries.

This location has become our go to Harris Teeter. The one at Guilford College has narrow isles with obstacles everywhere, including a large number of unfocused elders, and not just on Thursdays. The one at Friendly Center is more spacious, but always seems slightly off center, and I’ve had real problems with the seafood from there. This store has wide aisles, a much more open feeling — this used to be another chain — Winn Dixie or Kroger, so the setup is not quite the HT template. They always seem to have an adequate number of folks at the check out. Just a more pleasant experience, all the way around.

It’s just OK. I’ve started using Aldis more for staples, the money I save there is more than worth the drive. Things I can’t buy there, I get at HT. Not to make this an ad for Aldis, it’s more like a market, the people seem nice and the environment is pleasant, so I’m a new convert and not so impressed with Harris Teeter. I wish we had more variety here — HT seems so… sterile.
