Just Be

Nothing. I got nothing. Literally, I’m a sucker for girly shops and I simply could not be drawn to anything in this store. They have a decent sale section. They have jewelry. Whimsical art pieces, functional pottery, smelly candles, colorful stationery and it’s floor to ceiling full of eye popping you-​name-​it. Sigh. But I have to admit that it’s all something that I have seen before. Same old same old Letter journals. I could pick up a P book or letter B book and chandelier earrings just about anywhere. Sorry to be so harsh but despite the flair I couldn’t find anything fresh. On a positive note, the merchandising and placement displays were really fun and inviting.

Just Be is my favorite place to shop, all the goods are hand made and fair trade, crafts are superior and the prices will be a very pleasant surprise as well. When in Greensboro DO stop in it will become a new favorite for you as well.

This is such a quaint little shop full of locally made jewelry, soap, art, postcards, and more. I love the location (across the street from M’Coul’s pub) & the shop assistant was very pleasant. I found 2 really cool necklaces here. I would recommend everyone visit!

This is a fantastic local shop with something for everyone, from jewelry to journals, candles to clothing. The owner is super friendly and nice. We ended up chatting with her about our Carolina travels, and she had so many great insights about the area. Her pride for Greensboro is so evident, too. She enthusiastically told us that over 60 local artists and craft makers sell their stuff at her store, and everything else is fairly traded or made in the USA.
If you have a chance, stop in and see what pekes your interest.

I love this store! Whenever I have someone visiting we always make a trip over to browse Just Be. This store can lean towards the pricier side but it is understandable because everything is fair trade and made by individual artists. This is the perfect place to buy a gift because of the one of a kind nature and the variety of all things here.
I love browsing through the card selection. Since the cards are made by artists and not one of the big chains you can ensure your card will be original, especially for things like wedding or baby showers where the same card often shows up multiple times. They always have a nice jewelry selection as well, I recently picked up a great set of bangles.
They do close around six on weekdays which can make getting there after work a bit hard, so be sure to check their hours before you head on over.

In writing a review for Scuppernong it occurred to me that I have not shared my thoughts on this gem of a gift shop. Why… I do not know since I cross their threshold once every four to five weeks. Just Be provides any and everything we ladies need when in the market for special little gifts for friends, family, coworkers, etc. This is my definite go-​to for all gifts being shared with my friends. Holidays, birthdays, etc. You will find handmade art from jewelry to beautiful quilts, pottery, candles, baby gifts and so much more. The inventory is so unique and special. Stationary, journals, books of inspiration, lotions… I could go on for quite a while. For those looking for that special one of a kind «something» this is the perfect quaint and inviting store.

Sarah-​Margaret has done a great job with this store. always friendly– always something that I didn’t know that I needed! Definitely worth a stop in… will get your creative juices flowing :)

This is my go to shop for gifts! Love everything and staff is always so helpful!

Beautiful little shop chock full of goodies that are (for the most part) reasonably priced and it smells so good in there! Friendly service to boot. Lots of creative items from jewelry and lotions to art work and housewares. Love the bubbles flowing from the birdhouse on the outside of the building too. Fun!

This cute store calls to you from the sidewalk with a little mounted birdhouse spouting a steady stream of bubbles. The inside is just as fresh… lots of beautiful displays, mostly jewelry, some candles, cards, and scents. And a handful of frocks. A couple of furniture items for sale, along with housewares. And a back room with kids clothes and locally made stuffed toys. Didn’t find anything I couldn’t live without today, but would stop again to browse or gift-​give.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this store. Glad Greensboro has this gem so I can go there when I come here to visit. A wide variety or unique items at great price points. Very helpful and friendly staff. So many beautiful things to gaze at. Will be back to birthday and christmas gifts in the future. :-)

This is a beautiful store cram packed with treasures and one of a kind artistic functional items for every style and occasion. What I love most about it is that everything is priced very reasonably. I will say it has way more things of interest to women then men and it’s SO hard to find gifts for men so it would be nice to see more of that. Overall it’s a fantastic local store you MUST see!

From the moment I walked by Just Be and saw the bird house on the wall outside that produced a stream of bubbles, I was in love.
But then I’ve been a little bit in love with Greensboro since I drove in last night… and I’m not sure why.
Just Be is beautiful. If you like higher-​end without being ridiculously expensive jewelry, cards, ceramics, candles, handbags –you name it — you will spend your money here.
The store is beautifully merchandised, and items are displayed artfully, making beautiful things look even better. As I told Renee, the incredibly friendly manager, just when I thought I’d seen everything, another wonderful display or item popped up, and I probably wanted to buy it too.
The back of the store has a very cool table space where classes are held… I’m guessing in jewelry making or the collage/​mixed media art that I saw throughout the store as well.
I saw some high-​quality brands of fine art crafts that I’ve seen in other boutiques (lines of cards and such) and even an extensive display of work from a Maryland watercolor artist and illustrator, of
. Of course I had to buy something from her! This is the kind of place where you can always find the perfect pair of earrings for your sister or your best friend — and something for yourself besides (can’t deprive ourselves. Please!)
If you’re passing through downtown Greensboro, stop in to Just Be. Stand outside and watch the bubbles for awhile — it’s fun — and then go on down the street to Calhoun’s Specialties for a cup of coffee and a chat with Mike the owner.
I’m totally talking myself into moving here.
