The steak and cheese is the best I’ve ever had. The pizza is really big… True New York style. One of the best to try if you like that kind of pizza

We placed a takeaway order online for a pizza and garlic bread recently. The pizza was pretty good, topings tasted fresh and the bread was good. The garlic bread was good as well.

If you’re looking for an authentic Italy hand tossed pie of cheesy gooey goodness, then this is the place to go! I stopped by today for the first time & ordered a 16′ pizza; it easily fed my boyfriend and I. However, I almost wish I had gotten a single slice! Easily the biggest Brooklyn style piece of pizza I’ve ever seen, like that flimsy fold-n-half kind. I’ll definitely be returning, but next time for their lunch special; apparently you can get a slice of pizza, a side of your choice, and a drink for like $ 9.00…uh, hell yea. Happy eating!

Dined in here last Friday night. My boyfriend had 2 slices of pizza(one pepperoni, one cheese) and I had a bacon calzone. We also ordered the garlic knots, and french fries. My calzone was okay. I liked it a lot at first, but as I ate more I started to notice that the cheeses inside the calzone were not blended very well. By the time I got to the bottom of it, I was biting into pure ricotta cheese. There was no bacon or mozzarella at the bottom, as I would have preferred. The garlic knots weren’t very good either; I had maybe one of them, and was finished. The french fries were probably my favorite part. My boyfriend really enjoyed his pizza. I tried it, and wasn’t impressed, but I don’t love pizza anyways. The area surrounding the drink stands was wet and sticky, and the unsweet tea was so bad, I had to pour it out and get another cup. It tasted like someone how originally poured sweet tea in to the urn, and blended unsweet tea in there with it. The bathroom was also dirty, but at least there was toilet paper! All in all, it wasn’t HORRIBLE, it was just okay best. I’ll probably be dragged back, because my boyfriend liked it a lot.

Pizza gets 4 stars. Water policy gets negative stars. Apparently it is the policy of all Mario’s pizza to not allow their«valued customers» access to the free and delicious agua that flows from the soft drink machine. Instead, customers are nickeled and dimed and required to purchase bottled water or a soft drink. Hey, we don’t want your bottled water. The policy makes absolutely no sense which is why no other restaurant that I am aware of does this. The water issue has been derided numerous times on various review websites. Unfortunately, the owner lacks a sense of customer service and business acumen and this ridiculous policy continues on. I encourage all patrons to view this as a sign of disrespect and boycott this business until water cups are provided.

Mario’s pizza is in a large shopping center with plenty of parking. Inside the restaurant you order at a a register and then they call your number. There is no service. They do have a daily special posted. The place was clean on my visit. The dining room was nicely decorated and in good shape. On my visit the pizza was very good. I think the problem here is the person making the pizza. Some are good, some not so good. The crust was nice crisp, perfectly cooked. The slices here are huge. I also got a meatball sub that was OK. Not the best thing I’ve ever had but solid. The bread was nice, it was baked and had a good taste. I would just stick to the pizza. Price was reasonable.

The pizza was fine, service was fine. My issue was drink’s available. I went with a group of kids to get an extra large cheese pizza. They don’t serve water unless it’s bottled. No tap, no water button on the soda machine. So one way or another you are buying a drink. For 9 of us, that’s over $ 23 just for drinks. Almost the same price as the pizza. Nope. Won’t go again.

Omg! Im shocked to even be writing this, but whew what a disappointment!!! Eveyone knows Mario’s has great slices… so much so that I ordered a 17in pep&sausage for pick up. It was totally different! $ 30 later… Its ridiculous the level of difference in texture, crust style, and maybe even quality there is. The crust was literally rubbery, extra chewy, and confusingly overdone. I just don’t understand the conundrum my tastebuds just experienced. The flavor of crust was different… tasted old/not fresh. The toppings seemed ok tho. The only reason it got 2 stars was because their regular slices are yummy, the garden salad was good, as was the canoli. But geez pizza is in the name! Get it together Mario! –signed, Disappointed Customer who will prob eat your slices again, but sho as heck not yo full pies! Humph!

I ordered a pizza and the garlic knots. The pizza was ok, not great. The crust was really chewy and the sauce was bland. The garlic knots were old, stale and drenched in oil. I also asked for a complimentary sized cup for water. I was told they would charge me $ 0.60! I just spent $ 20 and they couldn’t even give me a small cup so I get get some tap water?! I will never go back to this place.

Had a co-worker recommend Mario’s to me. The only«New York» style pizza I’d ever had before was the Pizza Hut Big New Yorker. I’m a native Carolinian. What do I know about New York pizza? Ordered a cheese pizza slice and was blown away. I’m spoiled now and can never go back. Mario’s crust and sauce is hands down perfection. I didn’t even realize plain cheese pizza could be this good. And the cherry? It’s only $ 3.

Went for the first time yesterday for lunch. Very clean, very fast. I got the pizza special one slice, one side and a drink for $ 8. It was delicious the crust was crispy and everything was fresh. I will definitely be back!

Mario’s pizza is I believe on par with Elizabeth’s. The difference is the sauce to cheese ratio and the amount of cooking on the crust. Mario’s also goes for more of an italian pizzeria style while Elizabeth’s is new York style. I can’t decide which is better, but Mario’s is very good. Huge slices too.

This place is right near my house so my husband and I frequent there a lot. Love their Boroughs pizza, it’s like a meat lovers, so good. Everything I’ve tried from there I’ve liked, can’t go wrong at this place.

Known for their pizza, but I come for their Philly cheesesteak! Quick service and good food. Pizza slices are huge! Prices are good for the amount of food you get. Clean place as well.

Best pizza around! Fresh crust with just enough crunch and full of flavor each time. Great for families or get togethers with friends/coworkers. The staff is great.

I heard«I want pizza» coming from the back seat of my car for about two hours today. Mario’s was on the way home so I stopped in. It is off of Wendover near Sheetz and Petco in the corner of a shopping center. Mario’s has several locations in the Triad including the only other location I have been to, the store off New Garden. I have never ordered anything but pizza by the slice at this location. That suits me just fine. It is a perfect way to get a quick bite and move on with your day. I got four slices of pepperoni at 3.50 per. Yes I eat a lot. The slices are NY style and are large and thin. They cut their slices from a 24 inch pie. You can do the math on how large they are. The slices are thin, easily folded, and taste great. Very comparable to other places in the Triad and even the Northeast part of the country. This pizza has a doughy taste to the crust in contrast to some places that have a flour type taste. It is chewy yet easily torn. The sauce is a tad bland in comparison to some places. The cheese has some grease but not too much. This may be my favorite part. They came out hot and quick. Excellent slice. I think when people talk about pizza, it is easy to get carried away about which establishment has better tasting pizza. Easy to do since pizza is usually plentiful in most cities. But everyone has different tastes on what they like. While this isn’t my favorite pizza, it is damn good. I also like it better than the New Garden location if I had to choose between the Greensboro locations. I do like how this isn’t really a sit down and be waited on type of place. It is like fast food where you place a order and they call your number and you get it and eat. It is a perfect place to grab a quick lunch. By the time I grabbed my drink and found a table my order was ready. You could be in and out if you needed to be. Service was friendly too. I will add that they only sell bottled water. So if you only drink water like me, then you will not get the benefit of «free» water. No biggie though. Great place to grab a slice(or four) for a quick lunch. Hit the spot and the noise from the back seat of my car was quieted, at least until dinner time.

We decided to try this place out since I am a fan of thin crust pizzas. We ordered a 17″ pepperoni, sausage, black olives, pineapple, and onions. The last three toppings were only on my half side because the husband is picky at times. Pizza came out piping hot I don’t recommend eating it right away! We should know that but we were too hungry. Anywho we thought the pizza was delicious and had great crust. Overall this is a good place to try for your pizza cravings.

Dropped in on a weekday and got one of their lunch specials: an enormous slice of pizza(you chose cheese or pepperoni), one appetizer(lots of tasty fried things to chose from), and a fountain drink for $ 7 or $ 8. I got a slice of cheese pizza and fried green beans. Loved the green beans and I was too full to finish the slice of pizza. Great deal! Edit: As of 04÷26÷13, they have changed the awesome lunch special. Side options were reduced to jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, or salad. I didn’t care for the first two. :-/ Also, eggplant parm sandwich is alright. Not great, not bad.
