Had the best carrot cupcake ever! Very moist and flavorful. There were so many options to choose from. I can’t wait to go back.

CAKEHEAVEN. Huge selection of cakes. Lines always waiting out the door. They take their cakes very seriously. New utensils are used for every single slice of cake they serve.(Wonder how many cycles of washes they have to go through a day?) I’ve tried out all their chocolate cakes. I LOVE their lemon pound cake. It’s perfect if you’re craving for something not as sweet. They have a great selection of fruit cakes as well– basically a HUGEVARIETY of flavors. Their cakes are on the sweeter side. If you do not have a very sweet tooth, this place may be too sweet for you. I love desserts, so this place is perfect :) By the way, this place has the cutest décor and interior — perfect for you snapchat/instagram enthusiasts.

This is a gorgeous bakery. If you like all things girly, princess-like, and bling, this interior is for you. There is an indoor lounge area on the left side and some outdoor seating as well. The lines are usually stupid long, like, out the door and around the corner long. The prices are high. However, it’s worth it all. My brother and I had a strawberry cake with a whipped butter cream icing made for our mother’s birthday and it was amazing. I won’t say the price but we almost considered going elsewhere. Glad we didn’t. It was orgasmically good. Whenever I’m on this side of town, I’ll stop in(granted the lines aren’t annoying long) and get 4 – 6 cupcakes of various flavors. They also have Pup Cakes, which are dog friendly desserts. My brother has bought some for my furbaby and he loves it. I’ll eventually get around to trying a milkshake from here.

Best cake ever! I’ve never had a pice of cake out of this baker that I didn’t like. This time I went for the pink lemonade and caramel cake. Both were absolutely delicious. The wait is usually long and the line out the door. But remember” anything worth having is worth waiting for”.

Maxie B’s Bakery was a complete life saver! After another bakery cancelled our wedding cake tasting without notice, they got us in the same day that we were in town(living a couple hours away this was a saving grace). Their storefront is gorgeous and displays are eye catching. The cake coordinator, Shannon, was the most professionally attentive person that I have ever worked with in my life! I cannot express the gratitude I have for her: answering all my questions and reassuring me as a bride. She is top notch! The cake is to-die-for, and we received so many compliments from my wedding guests. It confirmed that this is the most amazing bakery EVER, and that I had made the right choice for my special day!!! Thank you Maxie B ‘s– you rock!

I visited my son and daughter in law in Greensboro and OHMYGOD… when my daughter gave me a piece of her cake from Maxi B’s … I was SOLD! MY Goodness look what I got for Breakfast the next day ! Shame on me right… NOT! If you are ever in Greensboro, North Carolina be sure and check out Maxie B’s Café where there is always a line coming out of the door. Delicious! I got me Orange Dreamsicle and Strawberry Lemonade Cake. My sister ordered the Red Velvet Cake. It melts in your mouth. To add the staff were very friendly and the line moved effortlessly.

I couldn’t understand why the line of patrons waiting to get into this place was out the door all day long, so I had to find out for myself. I tried a piece of the German chocolate cake and with the very first bite I had my answer: absolute heaven! I’m not in the area often, but when I am I will be certain to make Maxie B’s a part of my itinerary.

Be prepared to wait, and pay a little more for the best cake you’ve had since you were 2. The décor is adorable and there are too many flavors to choose from. I, a chocolate fan, like the all American chocolate cake, which is reminiscent of the boxed cake from your youth, but better. The Chocolate Sin cake is rich and with a slight almond flavor. Their strawberry cake is better than regular strawberry shortcake, with that fresh summer flavor. Sometimes they’ll have half pieces to buy so you can sample more flavors. It’s a cute place. Their cake is yummy, moist and pretty.

Holy hype. –Frosting: Oily shortening. Buttercream with butter is completely different than this-it was ok, but we’ve been tasting A LOT of cakes lately, and this one was not good. We felt like we were chewing sugar(two different kinds, too!) and our mouths were oily after. Not good. –Weight: One slice was at least a lb of cake. It was so so dense, and after one bite we were completely turned off. Another reviewer commented on the biscuit quality(my fiancé said ‘southern dense cake’) and it’s SOTRUE. –Sugar: too sweet. WAY too sweet. The cream cheese icing on the raspberry lady was better than the almond on the lemon cake, but both were WAY too sweet. –Cost: We definitely got $ 5.50 per slice worth of cake, but would we get it again? Or for our wedding cake? No way. The plus: The raspberry filling was great. That’s it.

They’ve done it again! We ordered three dozen cupcakes for an event we were having; carrot cake, pink lemonade, and vanilla cake with fudge frosting. The ladies at the shop were so polite and professional(as always). The cupcakes were beautiful! They displayed nicely and were perfectly done. I would say that they looked too good to eat but if you’ve ever tasted one of these cupcakes you have to. Everyone loved them! The pink lemonade cupcakes were a hit with the kids and adults alike. The silky texture of the frostings really added to the cake. Delicious, flavorful, and memorable. Maxie B’s is the best bakery and sweet shop in town. Awesome!

If you’re in Greensboro and you’re craving cake, don’t go anywhere else! This is definitely our favorite dessert place in town. There’s other bakeries that are good, but Maxie B’s is the best. They sell all their cakes by the slice, and the slices are big so you can easily share. My favorites are the Mocha Buttercream for a nice rich cake, and Pink Lemonade for a lighter more summery flavor. The strawberry buttercream and key lime are also awesome. Only one complaint — they have a great café area to sit and stay a while, but they don’t have wifi so it’s not a place to get away from the home office unfortunately(unless of course you don’t need wifi to work). Otherwise, definitely a must-try if you’re looking for a yummy treat!

As a child Maxie B has been my imagination of what heaven would be like. Assortments of layers of cake with cream fillings. Yum! My first cake I have was strawberry cream cake. It took me over two days to finish it up. I think the cashier was generous with the serving– which is perfectly fine! Once in while there will have a ½ sixes of cake in the basket near the register– they are smaller than the pieces offered on the menu, but it is helpful if you know you would be able to finish an entire slice. The queue here can get long at night. The ambience is beautiful and breathtaking! Customer service is fantastic! Parking can be an issue at night!

I really like this place!!! I’ve been here several of times and I don’t even like sweets! LOL! the décor and cozy seating makes it an attractive place to meet up with friends and chill. The place is always busy so their desserts must be pretty yummy, I’ve just never had a sweet tooth so the only thing I’ve had was coffee! That leads me to my suggestion, it would really be nice if they had more espresso like drinks to compliment the desserts they serve! Anyways, I’ll be back over and over and over!

I lived in Greensboro for a year and every party that served Maxie B cake was always a good one! I was fortunate enough to revisit this phenomenal bakery again for a recent wedding this past weekend. Of course, the cakes can get a little pricey but it is COMPLETELY justified by the quality of their cakes. Every single cake is mouth watering, melting, delicious. In addition, their space is so well furnished that it makes every visit relaxing and enjoyable. It may look small from the front door, but walk to the bathroom in the back and you will a find an additional section that looks just like a west elm showcase, just beautiful. One thing, however, expect a wait. We were here for 2 hours and the line was always out the door… never any shorter. People just love it and I can’t blame them. This is a must try in Greensboro, no doubt about it!

Wow. Now I know why there are frequently lines out the door. Hard to pick a slice of cake so we started out with one of the chocolates. Very delish and shareable. Décor is great tasting as well. Take you BFF, Mom, or date.

Ooooo!!! Ahhhhh!!! YEEEEESSSS! Yuuuum!!! Everytime I take a bite of something Maxie B’s, you can hear me saying one or all of the above! I’ve loved everything I’ve tasted here and I think everyone in greensboro does too. There is almost always a line to the door, and sometimes outside! I kind of hate the few times there isn’t a line because I don’t have time to stare, take in all the smells, and change my mind 5 times on the flavor I’m going to get. My favorites? Fresh Apple Cake and Pink Lemonade

I just love this place . I mostly go here on the weekends and its extremely crowded sometimes about 20 minutes wait in the cold too. Staff are mostly friendly but I have seen them being grumpy few times too. I go here for their frosted cakes ONLY, neither have i tried their cupcakes nor their cookies/brownies. I have tried almost 10 – 12 varieties of their cakes and almost loved ALL of them. They are not one bit dry and the frosting is perfect on all of them. Special mention to their MOCHBUTTERCREAM cake which is my absolute favourite. I just cant say enough good things about their cakes. Their chic rustic furniture and décor are welcoming . Once in a while I even find full slices of cake in their half price display which are usually bits and pieces left over after slicing the cake. Though I thought they were overpriced a few times, their quality definitely beats the price.

So awesome! I’ve never been disappointed on any trip that I’ve made here. They’ll give you a nice size portion as well. I’ve brought family and friends from out of town to Maxie B’s and once they leave they always ask me about sending them cakes or bringing them some when I come visit. I usually want to try something new every time I come here, BUT I think I’ve found my one and only lol. Please get the fresh apple with caramel cream cheese slice of cake. Make sure you leave some for me! Matter of fact, I’m heading there to get a piece now!

Cake Cake Cake! A slice can solve any of your problems, or at least make them disappear for a while. I like the Five Flavor Pound Cake and Love the Hummingbird! I don’t NEED the cake but WANT the cake! I will be back(today) :)
