My family dined here the other night and had a very pleasant experience. It was a snowy night and the place was nearly empty, but the atmosphere was still great. The entire staff, but especially our server could not have been nicer. The food was also very good. I had the Italian sub, which was hot and delicious. My wife said her kafta wrap was good as well. The little ones thoroughly enjoyed their kids’ meals, which is saying something! Overall this is a great family joint with a varied and interesting menu. The star of the show was the service. We’ll definitely be back soon!

My daughter and I had a $ 25 coupon for $ 25.00, went on line because she wanted Pizza. We saw that suggested Meditterraneo as a place to redeem. We went there and walked in during a shift change and we informed waitress we had a gift card and presented it. She took our order and informed us that we could redeem 1 gift card per table. Took our drink order and returned with water forgetting drinks, informed of shift change, new waiter informed us that we had to get a printed certificate on line, waitress said we did not, could be deducted from bill. New waiter got the owner/manager to come over and tell us we couldn’t use the gift card, but if we applied online and got Certificate number for him we could. We had ordered already when owner approached us, we ate and went to apply for certificate and we could not get a certificate because our card was for $ 25 and minimum gift card purchase was $ 50.00. After being told otherwise and after eating told us Meditterraneo should honor and the problem was not them ask for manager. O asked for the manager again and the waiter came back and said sorry it was restaurant. coms fault not Meditterraneo. After the finger pointing and proudly displayed on the front door they both did everything to not allow and finger point at each other. The reason we went was because they said it was honored and in no specific dollar amount. I paid, tipped the waiter, 1st waitress was pathetic, pizza was good, wings were like bricks and not seasoned as asked for, 1st waitress forgot drinks, ordered incorrectly, told us gift card was accepted, changed by 2nd waiter, confirmed by owner/manager to get certificate number, we tried only to be denied because of dollar amount. The owner would not be out, sent waiter to tell us Restaurant. coms fault, needless to say this experience of incompetence from the staff, the owner, and , I will never have the doors again. Don’t advertise to make yourself look good, mis-inform customers allow th em to order, then tell them too bad, no wonder the waiter said«I hope this will not keep you from coming back» I tipped him 20% of the cash paid ticket and said not your fault, his owner/manager was spineless and wouldn’t come tell me and I didn’t ask for him, waiter offered and went and got him and he said too bad he has to pay its restaurant. coms fault? He proudly displays them on his front door and website and never mentions minimum spends after you ordered and ate???

Just finished an excellent dinner, served by Jacob, our favorite waiter. Mediterraneo pays attention to the ingredients they use and I’d bet the chef eats what he cooks. I’m addicted to the hummus, love the salads, and the mussels marinara is the best. I’ve become a regular because of the consistently good service and delicious food.

I love the chicken shawarma here. And the hot chips are yum. Lunch menu is pretty neat. Service is slower than most places. I don’t mind it because I think they make them fresh. Nice friendly staff. Always a smile…

Always enjoy the meals at Mediterraneo, whether it’s pizza, salad, or an entrée. Had the mussels for appetizer, which was wonderful, and the Chicken Marsala for dinner. A bit too much garlic for my tastes in the sauce, but otherwise excellent. The 4 others with me also thoroughly enjoyed their meals. 3 of 5 took home leftovers — big portions!

This place is pretty good. It’s a typical Americanized Italian joint, but the service is very good and the food is always served hot. The ranch dressing here — and at a lot of other Italian joints — is much better than the stuff you get from the bottle, which is always something I look forward to. I would stick to the pizza and hot subs; the pasta sometimes is a little overcooked. –Just my two cents

I’ve always had good food and good service on my visits to Mediterraneo. It’s a neat looking place located in the North Elm Village shopping area. I really like their style of pizza, the chewy crust with a little crispiness is just the way I like my pizza crust. I’ve had the Grilled Chicken Salad & the Mediterraneo Salad here. Both are good, always made with fresh crisp vegetables and are good sized, but I have to doctor on them both a little to suit me. The grilled chicken is always cooked perfect and alot of it, but they use zero seasoning, not even salt & pepper it seems. Since I usually pick up my orders to take home, I always add my own seasoning to the chicken. Really wish they did something to give it some Italian or Mediterranian flare since that’s what they are all about. The Mediterraneo Salad is loaded with a good amount of feta cheese. The feta they use is super super salty, so I end up taking most of it off the salad and storing it in the fridge for use on my own salads I make myself. A little of their feta goes a long way, if I was to order this in the restaurant, alot would be wasted… I do love the 2 little breadsticks that come with the salads, they are great. Mediterraneo is a little tough to find, it’s on the back side of the North Elm Village, not really visible from Pisgah Church Rd that runs along the front part of the village. If you turn in the entrance between Chic-fil-a and the part where Penn Station Subs and Barberitos are located, you’ll run right into Mediterraneo… They also have outdoor seating available with a few tables with umbrellas.

Very conveniently located, quaint/cozy feel. The menu is an eclectic combination of Lebanese and Italian food, but the combo works surprisingly well. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the food is absolutely delicious. We had lamb shawarma, grilled shrimp salad and grape leaves and it was all fantastic!

I love this place! And you’d never know it exists if you don’t live in Village Lofts! Extensive Italian menu, friendly staff and everything is top notch. Very surprised but pleased with this place.

The customer service was astounding. The waiter checked on us frequently to make sure that we were well taken care of. The restaurant was clean and we’ll taken care of. The food didn’t take long at all. The buffalo wings were great. They weren’t too spicy which I actually liked. They were delicious.

Unfortunately I cannot give a good review. I had beef shawarma and my bf had lamb shawarma. I specifically asked the waiter if the meat was sliced from the«cooking skewer» & he said yes! When it finally came, he couldn’t tell which was the lamb or beef so we said we would figure it out. And so we tried. Neither meat could be distinguished. Both tasted the same. :(. But to the important… taste was bland and the meat was NOT cooked on a skewer over slow flame, it was most likely frozen prior and cooked to order! Yuck. The pieces of meat were the same shape and size, like they were cut by a machine/processed. Not good. Anyway, the Tahini sauce was horrible, very spoiled tasting. The cucumber sauce was actually ok and what we used to make our shawarma taste better. It said served in a pita, but it was served in a flat ROLLED up pita, kinda like a fajita. Def not a place we will return to for Mediterranean food. Sorry, yet not sorry.

Met a friend for lunch who is dieting so she wanted the grilled shrimp salad here that she loves. I ordered the chicken shawarma served in a «pita» which was not a pita, rather a wrap. If I wanted a wrap I would order a wrap. The chicken was ok but not the traditional cooked on a cone. Pretty sure it was a prepackaged product. They charge you extra for chips or fries and extra .50 for ranch dressing? Really? They do have lunch specials but they didn’t appeal to me. If I go back I will order the stromboli or a salad as those both appeared to be better options here.

This was my first time at the restaurant and I must say that I will be coming to eat here again. The wait staff was very attentive. Our server Jacob was awesome, at no time did I feel rushed. If we had any questions he would answer as best as he could and also helped with his personal recommendations which were spot on. The food was delicious, seasoned just right. The service is what will make me want to return, not to take anything away from the food bit Jacob made the experience well worth the visit

This has become my favorite pizza in Greensboro. Although it is close to my house, I may never have tried it if a friend had not suggested meeting there for lunch. The restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside, is tucked at the back of a mixed use shopping center, and has what I think might be a distracting number of menu items. However, the pizza dough is excellent and makes great pizzas, strombolis and rolls. The first few times at Mediterraneo, I ordered the stromboli lunch special which is a great value. I next tried buying their pizza dough to use at home for grilling on the pizza stone. I’ve never found dough that I like better. Finally, I went away from the lunch specials and ordered a couple of pies with friends. The white and margherita were very good and made me a believer. Recently, we ordered pepperoni/mushroom, and sausage/onion pizzas to take home and will certainly be back when we want good pizza, close to home. I wish the atmosphere was a bit more interesting and think booths and a few craft beers would encourage me to dine there more often but right now it’s more of a lunch or take out option for me. If you like a thinner pizza with great crust, Mediteraneo is as good as I have found in Greensboro.

This little place serves up some pretty good food. Their regular Sromboli is the best I’ve ever had in this area. The crust is flaky, full of flavor, and it is loaded with meat and cheese. It comes with a suace, but you really don’t even need it. The Italian Sub is also excellent, with a lot of meat and cheese on a truly crusty roll — just a fine sandwich. Their pizza by the slice is all I’ve tried, and this too was very good. The slices are huge(2 slices on the Lunch Cobo with a drink), and there is a lot of gooey, stringy cheese. The service is always friendly and efficient, and the pricing is reasonable. The location is at the far end, and on the side, of the multi-venue complex housing the Harris Teeter on Pisgah Church, so there is no street visibility, but it is worth finding.

The chicken wings are the best in Greensboro. They are super, super crispy, served piping hot and slightly spicy. At this meal, we ordered a pizza special with ham, salami, mushrooms and kalamata olives. It was hot and delicious. The olives were a little too much for the hubs, though. Our server was super attentive and helpful. He gladly brought extra tomatoes for our little one. Very good meal overall.

As a concept, a pan-Mediterranean restaurant holds plenty of appeal. Being able to sample the best from Italy, Greece, Turkey, and the Middle East is a food lover’s dream. Unfortunately, Mediterraneo does not live up to the potential of that concept. The menu is predominately standard Italian with a few Lebanese dishes thrown in. The«fusion,» as it is, is mostly in name only. That said, the food is executed fairly well. An order of linguine with white clam sauce came with lots of fresh clams, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. My companion’s vegetable lasagna was well-sauced with good mushroom flavor(though the spinach was a bit feint). Several other menu items(I’m looking at you, lobster ravioli) seemed like good bets for future visits. While there are no arguments to be had with the quality, the pricing is another story. None of the entrees come with salads, which made the $ 14 linguine and clams seem like a stretch. Almost all of the appetizers are priced $ 7 and up, and that includes offerings as simple as hummus or mozzarella sticks. Quite simply, you aren’t getting enough bang for your buck here. Should you not let that deter you, you can enjoy Mediterraneo’s cozy ambiance… assuming you can find the place. The restaurant is tucked into a corner of a large shopping center and may take some searching to unearth. It is also a fairly small location(though, apparently, it used to be even smaller) albeit not a crowded one. The pseudo-classical décor(columns, art, granite on the tables) doesn’t mesh terribly well with the burnt orange walls, but at least it isn’t drab. The service doesn’t leave any room for complaint. All told, Mediterraneo is not a bad place to enjoy a quality meal. Were it situated in a small town, it would probably be a marquee dining attraction. But here in Greensboro, the lack of value and the abundance of other options weigh heavily against it.
