I just moved to winston salem and I was looking for a middle eastern restaurant and I found this one. I drove 38 miles to get to it. I ordered the chicken shawarma platter. I was surprised. The portion and taste were great for a really reasonable price. The staff were friendly also. It was worth the drive and absolutely you gained a customer! Good luck

We had a very delicious lunch here. The staff was very friendly. This is a walk up ordering situation; you get a number and then they bring it to you. I really liked this and the food came out quick. The dining area is large but the tables were a little sticky from the last diners. That is really the only down side to this trip. The food was fresh and really tasty. The portions were large. I got the shawarma platter with salad fries and hummus. The hummus was really good. The salad was crisp and refreshing. The fries were filler material, tasted good but I will get something else next time. We also got the chicken gyro platter with fries tabouli and rice. All of these sides were great ditto about the fries. For a sweet treat we got the baklava. It was the freshest most decadent baklava that I have ever tasted. It was like heaven singing in phyllo form. Worth going back just for that.

A hidden gem in Greensboro. The food is fabulous and priced right. From Mediterranean to American burgers to Mexican fajitas. Ok fajitas aren’t Mexican but they’re grilled chicken sandwich is billed as such. Get in your car, ride a bike, call Über, just get down here and check this place out.

Yo dawg. I heard you like Mediterranean food. So I put some more Mediterranean food in your Mediterranean food. Seriously… the portions at this place are massive, and it is all just sooooooo good. Make sure you get some cucumber sauce on the side to dip your fries in, that stuff goes on everything. Get the shwarma sandwich the first time you go, you’ll be hooked on all the flavors and you’ll definitely be satisfied, especially for the price. But don’t stop there… everything is good. Even the menu for the picky eaters… the steak burger is stealthily one of the better burgers in Greensboro, which is saying a lot given how many great burger joints there are.

So I got a chance to finally eat at this place the other night for dinner. The Food was good. tasted fresher then other greek places Ive at at. The Pita bread my Gyro came on was very tasty. However I didn’t like that they had the news blarring loud stories about the crimes and war on tv. Something I didn’t want to hear while eating dinner. Since I consider this part of the atmospher and thats a big thing I look for when dinning out I give them only 2 stars. The parking lot was also full of cars but once inside there was only a handful of people setting down eating, and it looked like we were the only diners that were eating there that didn’t work there.

I ordered the Shawarma Platter and it was big on portions, but not so big on flavor. I love crispy meats, but these were crispy and dry. The beef and lamb, even the chicken were all dry. Luckily there were a couple of sauces poured on top to help it all go down. I was surprised there wasn’t more flavor in the meats. I was excited to see the meats roasting on the spit, and my mouth started to water. But the dry meats were the central point of my meal. The rice was okay, the Greek salad was pretty good, I loved the hummus and the pita was divine. My wife had a burger with a fried egg on it and it was pretty spectacular. The beef was very juicy, cooked to medium and the bun tasted homemade. We also ordered Baklava, but it was not like any I had ever had. There was a lot of peanuts and it was very soft. I liked it, but my wife has a baklava fetish and she hated it. I just pretended like it wasn’t baklava and enjoyed it on its own merits. The place is huge, but it’s old and all of the tables were either dirty or had ripped cushions. So it’s like a hole in the wall joint but a big hole in the wall. If anyone has some must try items to suggest, let me know, otherwise I’m not sure I’ll make the drive from Winston-Salem to try it again.

I’ve been here three times now, and it’s by far my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in Greensboro! The place has a market slash deli feel, and they actually sell many kinds of imported foods. The staff is extremely friendly and gracious. They also have baked goods and I’m dying to try some of the Moroccan Flatbread. Today, I got the mixed shawarma platter. It’s my favorite thing on the menu! The portion sizes are HUGE and the price is more than fair. Most importantly, the food is out of this world! Perfectly seasoned, tender cuts of meat, and wonderful tabouli! My plate came with a side I didn’t order, and they gave me the side I ordered with no questions asked. I won’t go anywhere else for this type of cuisine. Do yourself a flavor and check it out!

I went here for lunch last week after a recommendation from a fellow Unilocaler, and I had a very pleasant lunch. I don’t know how I’ve driven by this place all these years and never noticed it before, especially considering how large the restaurant is. It’s a no frills place on the lunch side, but the other half of the restaurant(which wasn’t being used at lunch time) indicates it’s a «cake room,» and it was very nicely appointed. You order at the counter off of printed boards on the wall, you’re given a number, and you visit the drink stations for an array of beverages. There’s also a cooler to one side with an assortment of beverage selections(nothing alcoholic). Self serve seating with a large number of tables, all very casual and somewhat worn. I wanted a lamb/beef gyro, but they only offered chicken gyros, so I made due with the shawarma platter. It came with three sides so I included a salad and a double order of hummus. When I received my food, I determined I had enough food for a family of four! I made inroads as best I could, but there was no way I could eat all this food. It was very tasty, but the meat was a little dry. I would eat here again. It’s affordable, filling, and the people who work here are very nice.

This place is huge ! Selection was huge too, i chose the ckn kabobs platter with hummus and fries with a side of falafel. Trypical fast food restaurant service, food was made to order right infront of you. The takeout was hot and steamy until i got home. And it tasted great. Typical Mediterranean food nothing to complain about.

Again, their food is great. Every. Single. Time. I always get the daily special, which usually consists of tasty chicken chops, but the regular menu items are good too. Please, do yourself a favor and go.

I have had two visits here and I am in love. The platter sizes are large and prices are extremely fair. Along with a friendly staff, this place is hard to beat. The mixed grill is the bomb and the Alexander is gonna make you loosen your belt. I recommend sweats when you visit here. The lamb meats are all well seasoned and the sides are good. If I had to make a change, I would make the hummus a little thicker on consistency. The menu is pretty big and includes typical sandwiches, burgers, and even some options for kids. The dining area is plenty big but the grill staff is not, so be patient. I like to think that Mediterranean food is generally a healthy choice BUT I have a problem with portion control :0) I’ll be back, again and again :0)

I’m not much on Mediterranean or Middle Eastern food in general, but if this place were closer I would probably eat here twice a week. The portions are huge, it’s cheap, it’s fresh and it’s really tasty. Each platter comes with a meat and 3 sides. I usually go for hummus, salad and tabouli. They have several different meats and kabob choices. I like the Andalusian chicken skewers, and the shwarma is really good as well. Breads and desserts are made fresh in-house as they have a commercial bakery side to the business. I like to pick up a couple packs of fresh pita bread and get some of their hummus and babaganoush to take home.

This is the place to go if you have a huge appetite. The portion sizes here are huge. I order the lamb gyro and it came in a homemade pita stuffed with hummus, cucumber sauce, lettuce, tomato and lamb. At first I was a little intimidated by the size but it didn’t stop me from biting in. This thing was amazing. I can’t really add much more to this review because it would just be redundant, so I will just vouch for the food. And the food is tasty.

I just got a huge pile of food from Nazareth and I am happy. First impression: THISPLACEISENORMOUS! And popular, too — there was a long line of lunch customers waiting to order. We had to get takeout, but the dining area was equally huge, cheerfully painted, and comfortable-looking. All of the people working the counter were very nice, quick and had our back with our takeout order. I got a veggie platter(hummus and pita, greek salad, falafel, spinach pie and dolmas) and an extra pack of pita for the kids. Smelled great in the car all the way back to the office. + Falafel(not green!) had a good flavor and reasonable crunch with a small amount of lemony sauce(tahini?) drizzled on. Delightful! + Pita was(of course) made in-house, substantial and had a good bite/flavor. + Got quite a lot of hummus that was very tasty, but wanted for just a little more garlic and less lemon. + Three dolmas, which were good, but not the standout of the meal. + I was momentarily perplexed by the EGGROLL, but discovered it was in fact the SPINACHPIE! Great flavor/crunch and clever take on spanakopita. I ain’t even mad! + AND a big portion of salad?! There is no way I can eat all this food. This is tomorrow’s lunch, too. Great deal for around $ 8! Filled up my hungry belly and made me happy :)

Loved lunch here yesterday. I was suprised at how huge this place is. A weird, disjointed layout with tacky décor but who cares, the food was amazing! Had the Andalusion chicken kabobs with salad, freshly made pita, the best hummus I think I’ve every tasted and some pretty good fries. Cost me $ 9 and was a bargain for the amount of food I received. Chicken was perfectly cooked and I love the cucumber sauce. Order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. Friendly staff but ran into the owner on the way out and he was extremely rude. Walked out the door in front of me after I had opened it to leave. Ever heard of manners? My only complaint but I’ll be back.

Just ate here for the first time. We will surely return. Food is delicious, guy at the counter totally friendly and welcoming and the gratis cookies were so good I’ll be getting those next time I want to eat sweets! Love the grocery section with unique foods and oils. Portions are very generous and I’m happy to take some home for lunch tomorrow. This place is a winner!

The recent article in Our State Magazine featuring this neat Middle Eastern restaurant reminded me that we had not visited in a while, so that was cured with a dinner take out order recently. The menu here is not especially broad, sticking primarily to the usual Middle Eastern choices, with a few burger choices thrown in for the unadventurous mother-in-law, or the petulant child with an attitude. We chose the Grilled Chicken Chop Platter, the Alexander Kabob Platter, and the Mixed Grill Platter, each with pita and THREE sides! We tried all the sides — FFs, Greek Salad, Hummus, Tabouli Salad, Cole Slaw, and Rice. All the meat dishes were excellent, perfectly char-grilled, and loaded with flavor. The Chicken Chop Platter is a favorite because they use thighs rather than breast, and the meat is tender, not at all dry or overcooked. I would suggest that you ask for the sauce on the side, and apply it yourself, especially if you get take out Of the sides, the Cole Slaw was very red, and very wet, and the taste was overpoweringly sweet — this is not a side I’d order again because of the taste, and because the liquid from it got on everything, not a good thing. The FFs were FFs. All the other sides were very nice, especially the Hummus — it is rich, tons of flavor, without too much garlic. The pita here is made in house, and is exceptional, as are all the bread items I’ve tried here. The folks who run this place are super — friendly and efficient, and they absolutely load the food on the platters.

Nazareth Bread is the best Mediterranean food I’ve found in Greensboro. Fresh, authentic, and good prices. I had the Double Chicken Kabob Platter($ 7.99) with sides of Greek salad. Platters are huge and come with choice of two sides, as well as pita, and Tahini sauce. The marinated kabobs were perfectly grilled over charcoal with a terrific grilled flavor. The salad was excellent, very fresh. There’s a good choice of sides to select from even though I requested both sides be salad. My friend had the Shawarma Platter which he graciously let me try. Also grilled over charcoal, the lamb was excellent. Nazareth offers kabob platters, veggie platters, as well as soups, salads, and sandwiches. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu!

This place is massive; so much space. I wanted to try everything so I had the«Mixed Grill». My favorite so far is the Adana kabob because the seasoning was great. It was a little overcooked but it was still damn good. The shish kabob and chicken was cooked well and tasted good but it wasn’t anything new to me. The tabouli salad and greek salad were fresh too. Their hummus was pretty good as well. I liked the consistency of the hummus and the thick chickpeas. The prices are good and the portions are huge. My dish could definitely feed two people. I didn’t have time to check out the bakery on the other side, I will have to check it out another time.
