Quality Inn & Suites Coliseum

If I could give minus zero stars, I would. This «hotel» is nothing more than a seedy motel. I booked two nights, at this place and after opening up the room door, I knew that I would not be staying there. The pictures on their website are inaccurate, they do not reflect what I saw. The first bed was approximately 5 inches from the door and the second bed was approximately 10 inches from the first bed, since I was so close to the door, I lifted the sheets/​blanket on the bed and the mattress had stains, I can only imagine what the stains were, yuk! The room also had an odor. After giving the room the once over, I promptly went to the front desk, cancelled my reservations and drove across the highway to the Doubletree by Hilton. The one star is for the front desk lady, she was more than helpful and surprisingly pleasant. Also, while cancelling my reservation, a guest that checked out said the air conditioner in her room was not working. There was no «quality» at that inn.

I was booked here by family on a recent trip through the area.
The furnishings were a little rough around the edges, not terrible, but they have seen their better days. Worst thing was the huge gap under the door that wind howled through during a terrible winter storm. Even a towel stuffed in the crack didn’t completely contain the wind. Such is the risk when staying at an old style motel with exterior rooms. Staff was friendly, but it didn’t make up for the experience.
If you’re interested in staying at a Quality Inn in the area, do yourself a favor and make the extra 15 minute drive down 85 to the High Point location on Liberty Road. Much nicer, and priced less.

This property has been in operations for many years. I believe it first operated as a Skylight Inn, then for many years as a Travelodge, and is now Quality Inn.
I had a double bed room that included a hdtv, microfridge, plenty of electrical outlets. Bed was comfortable. Furnishings were nice, but some pieces are beginning to show age.
The a/​c was not operating properly and could not maintain a comfortable temperature in the room.

It was ok, but not worth the price. I don’t mine paying for a good hotel, but this one needs, a lower price for the quality that is at this hotel. The couch pull out had used sheets on it, and no new ones to be found. At the desk everyone was very nice and helpful. Just cleaned on the service.
