One of those stores you wish existed in every neighborhood! Local everything! Even hand made furniture, pickled everything, and fresh tasty fruits and veggies. Yum

The best soups, all made from scratch. Gumbo for me today. Vegi beef delicious as is the chilli. Real good food, no pretentions!

The Ripe Thing Market is a local market recommended to us by family member who was vacationing in the area. We stopped by not knowing what we can get. We were thrilled at what we found. The market has super fresh fruits and vegetables most of which are organic and local if possible. We bought several different things and found them all to be super fresh and good. Although we did not get to try them also advertise local meats that were organic as well. We were able to try their selection of flavor infused olive oil and balsamic vinegar’s. We’ve decided when ever we’re close we’re going to come by and get more of both. All in all this is a super little market. If you’re in the area you need to stop by!

Ripe Thing Market is the coolest, little, spot in Greensboro. I LOVE the feel of the store: large open doors, great music, and wonderful produce! They have such a variety of products! I love to buy unique items, and they are always researching new and healthy products. I sooooo wish we had one in my hometown, but I’m always sure to stock up whenever I’m in Greensboro. Awesome spot and great folks!

What a crazy little unexpected find. I was in Greensboro for work, gawking at the odd mix of serious rural life and fancy old southern homes, when«Local Grass Fed Beef!» caught my eye, as it tends to do. Ripe Thing Market is essentially a gussied-up fruit and vegetable roadside stand. Locally grown green beans, squash, cucumbers stacked all over the places and rows and rows of incredibly odd and interesting jams, pickles, and preserves. The Ripe Thing gets a lot of their products made specifically for their market, but then also stocks products made by an Amish farm or farms nearby, including some killer looking cheeses. They have loads of honey and honey products, moonshine jelly, watermelon rind jelly, jalapeño bread and butter pickles, local free range chicken and eggs, miscellaneous syrups, and basically anything else you can dream up that would really impress a dinner party hostess. I landed on something called cherry butter, sweet potato and pecan butter, and honey crystals. I have no idea what any of those things really are, but I am incredibly excited.
