Creepy guy at the gas station approached various customers. When he got to my car, he followed my mother closely around to the other side by me. I asked him if he worked there and when he said yes, I asked where his ID was(he was wearing an earpiece, khakis, a button down shirt, dark sunglasses, and a tan hat with«yellow-“something on it but he was NOT wearing a blue vest and ID) ~ he said his ID was in his pocket but didn’t pull it out. There was no one in the station office and no other attendant in sight. I stopped filling up, told my mother to get back in the car, and drove away. I like Sam’s Club gas prices and choose to fill up there — I do NOT like creepy attendants and will wait a while before returning to this station.

After 30 minutes of shopping we stood in line for 20. A new register opened and instead of pulling the folks who had been waiting they had folks who hadn’t yet been inconvenienced. Then the register«froze up» and after waiting quite some time for«Will» to come we had to be re-rung at a new register. Our cashier did her best but the management here is so poor, we’re going to Costco.

Not that my review of such an establishment would mean a hill of beans, but I’ll share my 2 cents anyway! The early morning ‘business shoppers’ timing is your best bet on all occasions. During normal business hours the lines are long, the employees could care less about helping you find something and there are masses of children running wild. If I did not have to use SAMs club for business needs, I would never set foot in it again. Just saying…

A definite step down from Costco. There are a few things here, like Seville Classics metro shelving, the Amish blue cheese, and some of the shirts/slacks, where you will get a better deal and/or a better product than you will at Costco. But otherwise, it’s like the Target/Walmart dichotomy – the grass is just greener at Costco(better store, better service, and maybe even better shoppers).

The staff is sometimes friendly, however, it’s like comparing Wal Mart to Target in comparison to Costco. Costco is way better with much healthier food choices, friendly staff, and MUCH better atmosphere

This is a creepy Sam’s Club. Staff is hit and miss, store is on the dirty side, and the clientele is «interesting» The big plus to Sams is online ordering — you can shop through their website and the order will be pulled and waiting for you at the customer service desk. You can pay in person at time of pick-up. Huge time-saver.

Overall I really like SAMs club and Costco. SAMs club has better prices on some things, both wendover locations have ok customer service, costcos is a little better. I’m a member of Costco not SAMs club but recently got a flyer in the mail for SAMs club. They were offering a weekend where you could come in and shop membership free. Went in and had to wait 30 minutes to be helped at the service desk(cause I had the flyer I had to have them give me a temp card) even tho there was three workers and only one other customer in line ahead of me. Still waited forever. When I checked out I got charged an extra 10 – 15 $ because I had no membership. Makes no sense.

I have been shopping at Sam’s Club for years. Yes, it’s a warehouse and therefore not as nice as a «department store» and doesn’t look as clean. Cement floors, exposed, basic architecture. What bothers me about my last few visits is the cleanliness(or lack thereof). Every trash receptacle outside was full plus, occasional trashcans inside(Wednesday evening, near closing) were close to empty. Trash on the floors everywhere. No shopping carts near the door so we had to go find one in the parking lot. A visit to the restroom was horrible. Most of the stalls were dirty, water standing on the floor, toilet paper everywhere. In all, the entire store looked like the Saturday before Christmas at closing time instead of a midweek summer. Otherwise, there are some products I love, some I have never tried, and once in a while, I find some gems, especially children’s toys. I will keep shopping but sure do wish it was cleaner.

A bit nicer than WalMart, a bit grottier than Costco. Good deals on toilet paper, and don’t be coy — toilet paper matters. People-watching here is wonderful, perhaps worth the price of entry even if you don’t shop. Be careful of the muffins, which at $ 3.87 for six seems like a good deal, but they’re not great muffins and provide 620 calories. Yes — 620! Eat those often and you’ll fit in fine next door…

I visited this Sam’s Club today immediately after visiting Costco, so I could easily do a comparison of the two stores. I’ve been going to this Sam’s Club for years(years before the Costco opened up). It’s definitely showing its age. While I’d say it’s on par with Costco as far as product selection goes(in fact, it wins in some categories), it’s just not as new or nice. It felt kind of run down in some areas. Fortunately, the store wasn’t as packed as Costco, but the parking lot is smaller, so it feels more crammed. As a whole, inside and out, Costco is more spacious. Sam’s beats Costco in the food department, IMO, at least in produce and frozen foods. It has the better selection and prices. Then again, it could just be the foods I’m looking for. Customer service is the same at both businesses: friendly and good. Overall, Wendover Sam’s isn’t bad, but it could use a facelift.

I mean, it’s Sam’s Club; Wal-Mart’s slightly wealthier cousin. It’s still kind of sketchy and some of the folks that shop there creep me out. The prices are what they are for bulk sale and the people that work there seem nice enough. I just wish it had more of a store feel and less of a air plane hanger after a natural disaster.

The Greensboro Sam’s Club was clean, well organized and well stocked. Found the items I came in for in no time. Be careful in the parking lot, as it appears some people have it confused with a NASCAR track, trying to see how fast they can go without hitting vehicles or people.
