Not much has improved for me with secure care self storage. In their quest to fatten their profits they are now requiring customers to purchase insurance for their rental units. So now when you rent you get nothing but the room and no security on it. It is your responsibility to cover your valuables in case the building is vandalized, destroyed in a storm, or burns down. This is a growing trend of storage facilities to shift liability away from them. If they opened their books and actually showed you their own policy on the building you would know for sure if they were trying to maximize profits. What were they doing up to now? I really think the government should investigate this industry for possible racketeering.

I really wasn’t expecting much from a storage unit place, but I was really impressed. As a matter of fact, even though I thought they were going to be a little more expensive than the other place I was considering, I went with them because they had better customer service on the phone. In the end, they saved me a ton of money because when I actually booked the unit they told me about current specials and offered to let me use their moving truck for free! Not only that, but one of the managers came out early before hours on a Saturday when she wasn’t even working so that I could have the truck when I had requested it. That was definitely beyond the call of duty.
Highly recommended.
