Nice pool and good place for group class. Weight machines are difficult to use and make it easy to be in the wrong position while working out. You’ll find better equipment in a hotel. They just removed treadmills with fans; the replacement treadmills do not have fans or TV’s.

I’ve belonged to a lot of health clubs over the years, but The Club, formerly Pyramids, is the best ever! Lazy as I am, the Les Mills Body classes keep me in shape. Body Jam is one solid hour of dancing. Body Pump is an hour of lifting weights to music & Body Flow is a combination of palates, tai chi, & yoga. The weeks when I make it to all three, I feel the best. And talk about fabulous instructors! Darren, Karla, Ann, Michelle & Ann are outstanding!

The Club at Oak Branch is a great gym, and possibly one of the largest gyms I’ve ever visited! The gym does cost more than others around, but the amenities are worth it(free locker service, free towel service, child care, etc.) Also, The Club has first-rate equipment, and it’s definitely one of the classiest looking gyms I’ve ever visited. As for programs and equipment, The Club at Oak Branch has Les Mills fitness classes(BodyPump, BodyAttack, BodyStep, etc.), they have a large pool(I think it’s Olympic sized, but don’t quote me on that one– it’s huge, though), a nice cardio room with plenty of treadmills, elliptical machines, etc., and a weight room. They also have a unique program for young athletes called Parisi Speed School, which is a program designed to help athletes improve athletic performance, maximize their natural abilities, develop a higher level of self-confidence, and learn to prevent injury. If you live in the Greensboro area, check out The Club at Oak Branch or their sister site, The Club at Green Valley. Both locations are great. Also, if you’re just in town visiting, you should check them out because they have guest rates for visitors.
