We tried Tu Quynh because of the excellent reviews here and because we love SuperG Mart. I’m vegan and my husband eats meat. I asked if they had anything«vegetarian» on the menu, and the person stated that the only thing vegetarian was the spring rolls. I ordered the spring rolls and got my husband chicken and fried rice. When the food came out, it smelled delicious. I got out to my car(the order was for takeout) and looked at my spring rolls, and there was shrimp and some other meat in them. I ended up going somewhere else to get lunch and gave my hubby the spring rolls. He at about 1⁄3 of his chicken and fried rice and then said that he could not eat any more. He said that it tasted«funny.» He didn’t like it at all. He said the spring rolls were okay. Overall, we were very disappointed and will not eat there again. We’ll go back to Phở Hien Vuong and the Vietnamese Garden any day.

After being a Super G shopper ever since they’ve opened and we do make the trek to Greensboro, we finally decided to eat at Tu Quynh today. One of the best decisions we’ve made recently: Our order: Phở beef soup A spicy phở soup with beef and chicken(I forget the name of the dish — Hue’s beef noodle soup or something like that) Fresh spring rolls 2 orders of the fried chicken wing appetizer(for our kids, since as I expected, they don’t have a kid’s menu) I also asked for a plate of plain fried noodles on the side for the kids. Everything was absolutely fantastic. I asked for a spicy dish, and the soup one I ordered was what the waitress recommended. It’s on their weekend-only menu. My soup was full of flavor, and I’m glad their servings are HUGE, because that meant I got to bring plenty home with me. Same with my wife’s phở — her bowl was even bigger than mine, and came with a full plate of garnishings(bean sprouts, basil leaves, etc.) The chicken wings were also really good. Those came out first, and as I was getting them ready for the kids, I snuck a couple of bites. No lie — those were some of the best wings I have ever had. I am a big fan of crispy seasoned chicken skin, and this was right on the mark. We also got a cup of sugar cane juice for myself and a cup of Thai bubble tea for my wife. She said she preferred that to the bubble tea we always get from Four Seasons Mall, and my sugar cane juice, always a favorite of mine growing up back home, brought back lots of good flashbacks. Don’t expect too much in terms of ambience. It’s a very functional restaurant. The service was excellent and very friendly, and we will definitely be going back.

I make the 45 minute drive weekly to dine here. Absolutely excellent everything. I always get an order or two of fresh rolls to go, they’re unbeatable with the peanut sauce.

Straight up Vietnamese fast food joint. Its right on the side of the Asian market, like the generic hot dog stand in a BJ’s. Where I live in Worcester, you can only get Banh Mi on saturday mornings at the market. We got a bag of Banh Mi’s like 3 or 4 of them to go for our road trip, and they had the Durian Shake. That’s heaven right there. It was the best durian shake I ever had.

YUMYUMYUM I love this place! My boyfriend’s mom always gets us all the different types of Banh mi. I really like them all, but my favorite is the chicken. Last time I went I got two sandwiches, but I was under the $ 10 minimum card amount, so the cashier suggested the bubble tea. I’ve had it before at another restaurant, but I think I liked theirs better. I got the avocado bubble tea and had a hard time sharing with my boyfriend. I’m very interested in the phở, so I will be returning!

If you like phở you should do yourself a favor and try this hidden treasure on Market St. Inside the Super G mart. We drive 30 minutes almost every weekend and I’m always sad when the bowl is empty. Sad but full.

Banh mi thit nuong was good for Greensboro. Meat is saucy unlike the banh mi thit nuong in CA which is not. My cousin said the nuoc mia(sugar cane juice) is good.

My BBQ pork Banh mi included«pork» that was prob 80% fat and 20%(gray) meat attached, surrounded by a scary pink outer coating. It was pretty nasty and yes, I’ve eaten Banh mi sandwiches before. The veggies were okay and I just pretty much picked out all the meat. I liked their bubble tea(hard to screw that up). I put up a picture of the bubble tea — «Thai spiced». I might try the phở next time I’m in the Super G, but my experience with their pork left me kind of scared. Also service was slow with only a perfunctory level of friendliness.

Is it weird to eat at a restaurant in a market? Perhaps. But if you think about it, what better way to ensure fresh meat and vegetables than serving prepared food 15′ from the produce aisle? The food at Tu Quynh(i won’t even try to pronounce it — we call it «the vietnamese joint at Super G») is really good and prepared fresh. The people are nice and the food tastes like it came from someone’s home kitchen. I’ve never seen a crowd there. The fresh rolls are very good. The phở broth was rich and aromatic. Prices are right. The sandwiches(Bahn bo) are awesome at $ 3. Not the best Vietnamese in GSO, but absolutely does the trick. 3.75 stars.

I’ve been here twice now and have had 1 xcellent dish and 1 so-so dish. Both times I ordered the fried rice and 2nd time was burnt. But ate it anyway lol. Also tried one of the chicken phở and it was good, but I’m not a fan of cilantro(ever) and there is alot in the soup. Egg rolls are good too. The bahn bao are really good and cost $ 3(pork, beef, egg and other stuff inside it). I’m a fan!

The Triad continues to conquer the Triangle in terms of quality Vietnamese restaurants. This new café opened inside the Asian market on Market. My mom had already given it the thumbs-up saying that it was pretty authentic and that the bowls of phở were more generous with meat than some other area resto’s. I went with my parents and my husband to get some comfort food last weekend. The server was exceedingly patient with our takes-ten-minutes-to-order decision making. But wasn’t that helpful when Phil had questions about certain dishes… P: What’s in #20? Oh, you wouldn’t like that. P: Oh? Why not? Is it spicy? It’s very pungent. P: From fish sauce? No. So he was talked out of that, and decided to get some beef soup, that was not phở, but made with yellow noodles, and looked rather boring to me. He liked it alright though. I ordered the rare beef and beefball phở — they mistakenly served only rare beef. Also, the beef was not rare. However: the broth was excellent. Many dimensions in the flavor. Would have actually liked more noodles to fill it out; but I was very pleased. We also ordered egg rolls and spring rolls. The egg rolls are clearly made in-house, and had tasty filling; could have used more black pepper. Also, they were served with a sweet-chili sauce instead of nuoc cham. The spring rolls are large and fresh. I also ordered a banh to go for $ 3. It had chinese sausage, mushrooms and other goodies inside.
