Your last stop before Hill Farmstead to grab a sandwich They have a ton of VT beer along with a good number of ciders. Small deli, pre-made sandwiches are in the fridge next to the deli counter. Really friendly staff. If you have to use the restroom, you will be led down into a scary dungeon so fair warning.

We heard that Willey’s had everything you needed, but didn’t believe it till we saw it for ourselves. Merrell hiking boots, fishing licenses, gasoline, local foods, rafts, you name it they have it. It was a lifesaver of a store in out in rural VT. So glad we didn’t travel 30 min to a price chopper.

I’ve been going to greensboro for the past 16 summers. Willey’s is a Greensboro institution. I still proudly wear my Willey’s sweatshirt that I purchased a few years back. I literally don’t know what the town would be without it. Barr Hill, Caspian Lake, Willey’s, Lakeview Inn(so sad it’s gone), Miller’s Thumb— these are the places I remember and care about. Fun fact: Chief Justice Rehnquist used to vacation in the Greensboro hills, and we used to see him here. Here’s a rundown– they have their own hardware section which also sells guns, downstairs they sell groceries and games, upstairs they sell clothes, shoes, and souveniers, and there is also a video rental section(you pay in the hardware part). There are also two has pumps outside. Basically this small general store literally has everything you could ever need. Thank you Willey’s!

I have spent a week in summer every year of my life in Greensboro. I have always, always gone to the beloved Willeys Store EVERY time. I love the variety of items they supply here. Everything to freshly baked French country bread and jams to yarn and trademark sweatshirts. I love it here!

If you’re visiting from out of town, Willy’s is a life saver. They have clothes, hardware, groceries, wine, beer, craft supplies, sundries, and souvenirs. I remember as a kid I was really impressed by the candy isle and the creek running under the store.

The best! Willey’s has EVERYTHING: from a full selection of food staples at reasonable prices, to an excellent variety of gourmet, specialty, and local Vermont artisanal products, great wine selections, a big display of microbrewery beers, hard ciders, and exotic offerings like mead… and that is just the grocery department. In addition to this, they have a nice selection of local souvenir t-shirts and sweatshirts, cold weather clothing, and more boots than you can shake a stick at in their clothing department. The hardware section could be a store unto itself, with every imaginable type of tool, nail, screw, washer nut, rope, chain, garden supplies, guns, ammo, fishing gear, and snow management tools. There is also an upstairs with kitchen and housekeeping items. As others have said, if Willey’s ain’t got it, you don’t need it! In addition to being a great place to shop, Willey’s is a slice of old-time Americana, a throwback to older, simpler days, which makes for an excellent shopping experience.

We loved this place. Great selection of local wine, nice meat counter, and all sorts of fun, funky, and useful odds and ends… a step back in time… in a very good way! (One wonders anew how we let the WalMarts of the world kill off all but a few of the beautiful little businesses and grocery stores in America – a sad and foolish loss.)

Willey’s is a Greensboro institution! You can get all of your groceries here — they carry local breads, meats, and cheeses. Lots of fresh produce. And there’s surprisingly huge and good wine selection — yesss. The candy aisle is kinda legendary — I used to spend hours in it as a kid, decided what my next treat would be. Ok, I admit it… I still do. Between that and the wine and ice cream aisles, I’m agog. You can also get nice Vermont souvenirs here, including postcards, t-shirts, books of gorgeous local photography, maple syrup — etc. And there’s more! Upstairs is a whole clothing department, with everything from t warm winter clothes to sunhats, to shoes and boots. There’s a hardware section on the side. They used to sell gas but no longer do. The only bad things about Willey’s is they close at 5 pm. So plan ahead — you have to visit this place, again and again!

If you can’t find it a Willey’s you don’t need it. You can buy everything from a lawn mower, to a bottle of wine. A great store in the heart of Greensboro, just a short walk from the public beach at Caspian Lake. I’ll try and list the sections of the store… Groceries, wine and beer, toys, clothes, footwear, hardware, electronics, hunting and fishing supplies, housewares, office supplies, and movies. They seriously have it all with an amazing amount of Vermont charm.

They Willey’s is a sprawling general store catering to the summer-crowd at nearby caspian lake. Its a bit pricey, but for convenience, come on.. . It has a grocery with a butcher.. .(you can get bait from him: same refrigerator). Decent wine selection, hardware store off to the right and year-round clothing department takes up the entire upstairs(not much for fashion sense though, strictly utilitarian). They dabble in movie rentals. Good cold beverage selection,(Moxie! and Vermont beers). There is a old-school gas pump outside, and bulletin board for community events. Pick up a copy of the Hardwick Gazette and make smalltalk with the clerk.
