Piercing Pagoda

This place should be shut down for the amount of problems and infections it has caused. I never had a problem with Piercing Pagoda until I made the dreaded mistake of trusting their company not to give me an infection or ruin my ear.
I got my cartilage pierced at a location in the mall and my skin was irritated and infected within hours. I knew a little redness and swelling was expected but I had drainage, pus, and burning pain in 24 hours. I followed aftercare instructions flawlessly.
When I returned to Piercing Pagoda for help or instructions in three days, the woman told me «I can’t help you. We can’t touch your ear after we pierce you. You signed a release. It’s your responsibility. Just rip it out if it’s hurting you.» Yes, this woman who put a hole in my body, told me to «rip it out.» Like an idiot who trusted this «professional piercer», I took out the earring using latex gloves and landed with an antibiotic-​resistant infection that’s chewing away the top half of my ear. I had a doctor take a scalpel to the massive abscess that grew where the earring was to remove the pus and blood, and when that didn’t help, sought treatment at the ER. Three rounds of antibiotics later and I’m still sufferings.
Kids go to a professional piercing parlor. Stay clear of this location or any Piercing Pagoda in your area. They are poorly trained, uneducated, and dangerous.
