First and foremost I have to say Archie’s had the best ribs. The sauce wasn’t my favorite but this is a rib contest not a sauce contest. They were the only ones who removed the membrane. This is a pet peeve of mine when it comes to ribs. I would bet money that if it was a major competition all the other places would have removed the membrane as well. It’s just sad. Also they were suppose to have ballots so we could vote for our favorite ribs but after speaking to one of the event runners we were told they were suppose to be delivered today but they weren’t. With that said let’s move onto the rest of the event. There are several venders selling goods such as candled, shirts, wine, jewelry, and lots of other such things. I sampled some of the wine and they were all quiet good. My favorite was one that had a hot pepper in it. It was very unique and had a good kick. I also got a pound of fudge. Yes I said a pound and yes I would eat it all myself if the other half and my boy would let me. The lady at the Art of Fudge stand was so sweet and more then willing to give my little man lots of samples. Also got the boy a banana snow cone which he loved. In addition to the food there was a kids fun area. They had a bounce house, a big space ship slide, a rock climbing wall and several other kids stuff. My son went on the slide first and he loved it. I was a little apprehensive about it at first but he loved it. Next came the bounce house it had a little slide in it as well. He only got to bounce for about 3 min before they called all the children out. Over all this was a great event. I was really disappointed with the ribs themselves but the rest if the event was fun. All the booth runners were friendly and we had a great time.
