Promised Land Inn

Had dinner on a Friday night and the place filled up between 6 and 8. Located right at the state park with lots of campers, casual dress is the norm. Perfect for families with all size tables, nice and clean, a rustic atmosphere, a separate bar area and also there are some tables outside. Lots of parking. Rest rooms were nice and clean. Four of us sat at the bar which turned out to be a great place where many of the friendly locals are very willing to share info about the area, give directions and there was even a photographer who shared his latest photo he had just shot of what looked like a bear waving hello! We had had bourbon wings, simply amazing and garlic parmesan wings that were loaded with garlic and delicious; 8 wings for about $ 8, nice size, lots of sauce and worth every penny! We also tried chicken quesadillas which were very good also and potato pancakes — the silver dollar size ones, very tasty and you are offered the ever appropriate sour cream and applesauce with them. We shared some cheese fries and pretty sure the fries were hand cut fries, not greasy at all, nice and crisp and they had lots of cheese sauce on them. Besides the basic bar food, they also have full dinners and also chicken and fried shrimp baskets. Very friendly service, quick to refill beverages, nice variety of beers and you can get 6 and 12-​packs to go too. Total bill for the 4 of us including 6 pint size beers, 2 soft drinks, 3 orders of wings, potato pancakes, cheese fries and quesadillas was $ 68 before tip. At the time we visited, it was up for sale, so can’t say things will stay the same here but I hope they do!

Stopped by here for lunch, and it was a good deal. The staff was extremely friendly and the service was great. When we are in Greentown, we usually cook our own meals every day except for dinner on one night. Heading back in June so we will probably go there at least for one meal.
Nice local restaurant to sit down and enjoy a meal, or sit at the bar for a few drinks.

Don’t drive by this place has the best bourbon wings I have ever had! I make it a point to stop in whenever I’m in the Poconos. Great friendly people too don’t let the look fool you it’s really good! Kids had chicken fingers said they were good, fries were awesome too!!!

Stopped here for a burger while riding the moto. Had the Monster Burger was good. Place was ok, Had weird light blue color on outside of it, eh whatever.
