The Hispanic manager at around 2PM on April 16. 2016 was extremely rude to me. All I wanted to do was to return some items WITH THE RECEIPTS but she treated me like shit. She treated me as if I was a thief. The items that were blatantly on the receipt purchased from TJMaxx with all the original tags attached and in good shape were denied because SHE had never seen them in the store before. I told her that the items were purchased from the TJMaxx store but she did not even look at me to talk and simply ignored me afterwards. I told her to check the security footage to verify the legitimacy, but she continued to say that she’s always right and never wrong without doing anything else. She kept a pissy face on for the entire duration of the conversation.
She was also extremely rude to the cashier that was doing my returns. The cashier was doing an excellent job and this manager came to literally harass this employee… and I could see the frustration on the face of this employee. It was an extremely uncomfortable situation for both the employee and me.
I do not understand how this manager managed to get this position. She’s most definitely not qualified to be a manager, let alone a leader of any kind. You can also tell the quality of the employee by the quality of the leadership in the store. Hopefully the TJMaxx corp sees this and take action.

Staff is a little eh but the selection of merchandise is always on point and so is the clearance items! I have gotten some killer deals and find myself going back once a week

There’s a good amount of stuff available at this TJ Maxx compared to the one in Rego Park and Atlas Park. My biggest issue with this location are their lines. It can really stretch over here and just about every time I stop in with my wife, there’s always a customer having an argument with the cashier or with the people on the line. It’s always something here. Towels are always dirt cheap here and I found some great Levi jeans here for under $ 30 that were also actually in my size. It’s one of the better TJ Maxx’s I’ve been to but I just really dislike the customers who come here. These Long Islanders really like to argue over nothing.
