Not bad at all for a Sunday Afternoon. My wife and I were visiting Delaware and decided to stop here lunch. We chose to eat outside on the patio because my wife isn’t fond of eating inside Bar/Taverns. Makes no difference to me. Our waitress was on the ball, so maybe since the other people that reviewed about the service being slow they hired better people in the meanwhile because we had no problems with that at all. Service with a smile and she was quick to make some decent recommendations too. My wife got the Chesapeake Crab Cake Sandwich(Pan Seared with Shredded Lettuce & Roasted Tomato Aioli on a toasted Bun with a side of perfectly cooked season squash/zucchini. I tried their specialty BBC burger(With Applewood Smoked Bacon, Lettuce, Vine Ripened Tomato, Local Mushrooms & White Cheddar on a Toasted Bun) Cooked at a perfectly Juicy Medium with the yummy creamy flavorful coleslaw. My wife wanted ice cream so we shared a soft pretzel sundae(Warm BBC Soft pretzel dusted with Cinnamon, sugar& Topped with Salted Caramel Ice cream, chocolate sauce & whipped cream. Comfortable, quiet, pretty, clean. A wonderful dining experience, that if we are in the area wouldn’t mind trying again, at least during the outdoor dining months.

Nachos are excellent! However, like some have stated, the service is lacking to say the least. Our waitress was very rude and harsh. It got to the point where I was hesitant to ask what type of mixed drinks they had in fear she would bite my head off. I’ve never had a waitress that mean/rude while dining out. Eventually, she adjusted her attitude and was quite pleasant towards the end. I chalk it up to it being«happy hour» and her being stressed. Not an excuse for poor service in my opinion. If you are looking for a place with overly priced food and poor service, this is it.

We tried this place several times because we live close to it. Service is consistently SLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWW and unattentive. Bar is overcrowded. .. seems to be an over-the-hill pickup spot.(quite the show). Menu looks good but, tastes mediocre across the board. I ordered the good old standard Ahi Tuna twice and twice I received a very upset stomach. Not food poisoning but, felt like 1 level below food poisoning. The only fair dish is nachos. When the go-to item on a menu is nachos, it is time to go-to another restaurant. Pass on this one.

Tried the taco salad tonight. Pretty bad. No flavor. Was there dressing? No way to tel. I was told the white stuff in the cup was avocado crema — no flavor. On the other hand, the dessert, molten chocolate cake was excellent. Service was good as well. So, one star for dinner, five stars for dessert and four stars for service = an average 3.

Ok so this was a go to place for years but this visit was horribly disappointing. I don’t know if they weren’t prepared for a busy night or what the problem was, but this experience will have me hesitating before going back. My partner ordered the grilled salmon salad which I had had before but this was a sad excuse for a salad and he got half a bread stick which makes me seriously consider whether they were short of breadsticks or if they tore off the half that had bite marks on it. Our waitress never came to check on us after the food was delivered so we couldn’t even give them the chance to address our concerns. I’m really not a particular person and this is my first negative review but this was our worst experience at BBC and it will be some time before we go back or recommend it to anyone we know. :-(

Disappointing. Ate there last night(sun) in a party of 4. Our waitress had zero personality and made me feel like she found us tedious. One member of our party was about 15 minutes late. We ordered drinks but then said we’d prefer to wait for our 4th before ordering food. She asked us at least twice more and acted put out. When asked what soft drinks she had she visibly sighed before saying coke, diet coke, etc. I would have left her zero tip but it was not my call. The food is poor too. I expect gastropub quality and you don’t get that here. I find all the food greasy, from the sandwiches to the mashed potatoes. And not in a «nom nom I heart bacon» kind of way. More of a three bites and I feel sick kind of way. I guess if you want to drink and eat nachos this is the place for you. Not if you expect nice gastropub fare.

Went to lunch today with my husband. We were seated at a table and waited for a waitress to take our order. After a very long time we ended up getting up and taking a seat at the bar. We couldn’t understand what the problem was it’s not like they were busy. The food was ok and that is all it was. The beer was good and that’s why I gave it 1 star.

Chicken nachos, wings and beer! Love the food. However, the staff could be just a bit friendlier especially when there’s only a few people sitting at the bar… they’re not so busy that they couldn’t be a little more attentive or pleasant. But I prefer a woman bartender/waiter anyway.

Came here on Sunday during the Eagle’s and had a pretty nice time. The bar was busy, but not packed, and the bartender was prompt to take our drink order. They have a decent draft selection and a better selection of bottles. We were starving, so we ordered a lot of food. I got the brussel sprouts and a half order of nachos and my boyfriend got the wings(which were on special during the game) and a reuben. He ordered the reuben without cheese as he is lactose intolerant, but as so often happens, it came with cheese. The bartender was very apologetic and went to get it replaced and brought back a free beer. That was very nice of him, especially as people forget to leave off the cheese a lot, but no one generally brings him a beer while he waits. The brussel sprouts were probably my favorite thing that I had, but when you fry something in garlic and put some parmesan on top, there is no way I am going to dislike a dish. Sure, all of the nutritional value of the vegetable was gone, but boy was it tasty! The nachos were also very good. The bartender asked me if I wanted the full size or half size and I was thrilled because there wasn’t a half size on the menu, and no human needs to eat a full platter of nachos. The pico was very fresh and I really did like the nachos. The wings were good, not too mild and not too spicy. I was told that when the reuben came out sans cheese, it was very good. There was none left over, so I am going to take his word for it. This is out of the way for us, but when we are in the area, it is definitely a place I could see us going back to in the future.

Love this place. The food has never disappointed me. My coworkers and I frequent this restaurant and bar regularly for good reason. The prices are affordable, there is a pleasant ambiance, and the service is remarkable. The bartender, Brian K, is phenomenal at customer service. He is an expert at multitasking and keeping the customers happy. Prices are very affordable and the crowd in the bar is always friendly. My recommendation is to try the steaks. I’ve had all 3 on the menu and they’re all good with the filet being my favorite. Again, the price is reasonable and the quality is excellent.

Not happy. The waitress had the personality of a soggy piece of toast. No smile, nothing but a blank look on her face. However she WAS happy to talk to the other two people sitting at the counter! Go figure. I finally got my carryout order(No napkins, no plastic ware! Gimmee a break! I spent $ 30 and I can’t even get a measly napkin and some plastic ware with my To Go order???), and when I got home(miles down the road) I realized that my order was missing the fries!!! Too late to go back.

Stopped by for a drink and some appetizers with a friend so that we could catch up and sit outside. The server was very nice at first, but she made it very clear when she was ready to be done for the evening. Asking if we were finished and already had our check in her hand and asked my friend if she was done with our food while the server had her hand out to take it. This is usually a normal stop for my friends and I and it was made very unpleasant this evening. Being employees at a a restaurant ourselves we expected more from a local restaurant. Normally you don’t do your closing side work when you still have tables. Not sure if we will be back again.

They have parking frond of the restaurant, service was nice . I will come back again and let them a change.

Drink options are pretty good, lots of good beers and wines, but the food was average. Ribs were kinda dry and had a soapy aftertaste. Not bad, just not as good as I expected. Nachos were good, way too much lettuce and tomato on top, not a lot of chips though. Key lime pie dessert seemed cut from a pie I could have had at any restaurant. Service was also pretty slow compared to how busy it wasn’t in a Friday night. Overall it was good, but wasn’t anything nearly as special as I thought it’d be.

I was slightly disappointed. After hearing about this place for several weeks I expected better food and service. The grapefruit gin and tonic mixed drink was great but the salad dressing was flavorless and salmon was just plain greasy. The waitress was cordial but never checked on us or refilled our waters. I would recommend for a drink but not dinner.

Came here after a long weekend and we got the nachos. They were huge and could fill 4 people. They were awesome. Drinks were ok, the bartender was out of touch with the specials. It wasn’t until i used the bathroom did i see a daily special list that contradicted what he said they were. We will be back for those nachos

Had dinner here with RJ on Sunday night. We ordered the crab and artichoke dip which was very good. RJ had shrimp and grits and I had the filet. The filet was supposed to be rare and was more like medium and was a little chewy. The mashed potatoes were excellent. I tasted RJ’s shrimp and thought that was better than my steak. The service was ok but the waitress did seem a little annoyed with us for taking so long.

I was down in Delaware on a business trip and this was the first lunch spot my boss suggested… so I didn’t really have a choice. We only went for lunch so I don’t have much of an opinion. The waitresses was very nice and attentive. My co-workers had the bison burger and they seemed to enjoy it. I went with the crab cake sandwich. Good bun. The crab cake was decent. Nothing special or over the top. It looked like they had a lot of good craft brews on tap, but unfortunately I was on the clock.

We spent some time at the bar and stayed for dinner over the weekend as part of a big family gathering. The bar is big and surrounded by several TVs and the bartenders were very friendly and attentive. They have a relatively extensive beer list in addition to specials and cocktails. Initially we were put off by the cost of the nachos, but once they arrived — those platters(seriously, platters) are gigantic. Highly recommend the extra buffalo chicken and blue cheese additions. I enjoyed the crab and artichoke dip, but it probably didn’t need the chopped tomatoes. My buffalo chicken sandwich was good — lots of blue cheese and sauce. I added sweet potato fries on the side as well. Saturday is half price bottles of wine — but only on a selection of six bottles. We weren’t huge fans of the white(it was a substitute since they were out of the originally listed one). But everyone enjoyed the red. Definitely worth it if you’re with a big group!
