I just ordered to go sushi tonight and the boss man wrote in his own take out fee. I asked him what the fee was for and he said that they charge 10percent fee for to go orders. He never mentioned the fee over the phone when he took my order, and when I said I’ve never seen a restaurant charge a 10% to go fee, he just shrugged his shoulders. I did not like the way he handled it, I think it’s an unrepresented fee. I will not be ordering from here again.

Good sushi. I love the mussels yaki here and I could eat the Hawaiian sauce on just about everything.

I love love love this sushi restaurant! This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Greenville. Service is always on point every time I go. Food is always fresh and I am always satisfied when I leave. I can literally come here everyday lol.

Been here several times with no complaints. My last visit was just ok. Got sat immediately on a saturday night. That never happens! Service was bad though. Took a while to be greeted. Drinks were empty and took a while to get siracha sauce. Sushi came out pretty fast but my fiancé found a hair in his sushi and it took a while before the server came back. My fiancé showed him the hair and he apologized and asked him if he wanted another one. He asked for one to go since we had to be somewhere. That one sushi roll took over 20 minutes! I felt like it should of been a priority since it was messed up. Server came back and told us the reason why we waited so long was because they put it in the«to go area» and he didn’t know. I always get the Mr. T. It’s good and simple if you don’t eat a lot of raw sushi. The popcorn crawfish is always amazing. Gyozas are good. Beef tataki is awesome. If you like your meat medium rare, this is for you. It’s smooth like butter and has looks of green onions on it! Hopefully next time we go we don’t find a hair in our food and service is better.

I’ve been going here for years and the service gets worse every time I go. Only reason they got more than one star was because their food is the only decent sushi in Greenville. Won’t be going back. I’ll go to tsunami instead

My review will mirror other 1 – 2 star reviews. Service was friendly and sushi came out quickly. Ordered the Sushi Lunch Special with Tuna Roll and the house special Sixth Sense Roll. Fish was dull in appearance and almost tasteless. Special roll was listed as spicy and even had jalapeño but I detected little to no heat. Definitely missing the bright flavors and well-prepared rice that makes sushi so enjoyable. Oh, and $ 50 for lunch for two? Too high for the suburbs!

If you dine here, do it on the bar side as that’s where the owners are and they’re hilarious and usually downing the Saki. Wide selection of offerings and delicious food. I come here when I want to course it out with my sushi because their appetizers are insanely delicious.

Sushi is alright-sometimes fish is good sometimes it’s not fresh. Super irritated tonight though-I placed a Togo order and when I got there to pick it up: 1st they didn’t acknowledge me so I had to speak up and say hello, I’m picking up a to go order and 2nd– they had lost my order or didn’t put it in and asked what I got. I told them I had placed the order 30 minutes ago and the server began to dig in the trash… And didn’t try to apologize or resolve the problem so I left. Very hungry and unhappy with how it was handled.

I love their mussles, that is all. Good rolls, good ambiance, but I’m all about their mussels. Sweet company and service as well.

Great service and waitress. Promptly seated. Fast and understanding service. They will take your pictures for you too! which is really cool! The food was great for the price. I was happy with it. The Godzilla rolls were the best. You should try it if you like spicy stuff.

Atmosphere: good. Service: good. Ingredients: fresh. The combinations of ingredients and preparations were however bad. Quite bad. Almost all the rolls were fried or filled with cream cheese. The sushi was overall quite bland. The only good one was the red dragon roll but it still wasn’t worth talking about. Maybe next time I’ll try something else. But I was disappointed in the sushi. It was over priced, very americanized, and bland. :/

The sushi is tasty but there are way too many options on the menu. It’s hard for a consumer to look at especially when you have never been there. 1 roll I had wasn’t very good but the rest were really good. I would def try this place but you might be over whelmed by the amount of items on the menu.

I feel horrible giving them one star. The service was nice but the food was horrible… Very Americanized sushi and questionable quality fish… Either that or i think my expectation for sushi was just too high for this region. Chandon(spicy seafood noodle)(1⁄5) it was tasteless and bland. I only had two bites and had it put to the side. No one asked how it was when clearly i barely touched it Hot Texas(1⁄5) Thequality of the fish topping was fishy and the salmon clearly needed to be replaced. Crab salad roll?(0⁄5) … Seven different nigiri(0⁄5) all left there… we had one piece and decided it was bad. Ama ebi(1⁄5) not the best i have eaten. I think i am too spoiled by the true Japanese cusine from Los Angeles/New York/Japan. Overall the food was meh, The service was decent and everyone was really nice though.

Went here because my usual place for sushi was closed. Was not impressed. Lets start with the good. Most of the cooked food was great. The specialty rolls were wonderful and the tempura was amazing. The server was attentive and the food came out quickly. As for the bad, the miso soup began to separate as soon as it hit the table. I’ve never had that happen before at any restaurant and it was very unappetizing. Most of the raw fish had a slight off taste to it and some of it even had a slight odor. It was not the freshest and my digestive tract paid the price the next day. What else I noticed was on the menu is that they have a 10% upcharge for all take out orders. I mean … REALLY??? Needless to say, we will not be going back. Would rather hit up a place where the fish is fresh. And I don’t pay extra for take out either

Atmosphere is NOISY. Service was quite slow, but pleasant. The saving grace was the delicious food. We had the tuna wontons– mouth watering. And then sushi– salmon crunch roll and shrimp squares. Delicious! We are from out of town and this was our first time here. We prefer a more quiet sushi/thai atmosphere.

Pretty good sushi and sashimi. Couple of creative rolls and stuff off the grill is good too. I opted for sashimi eel and a roll after a ginger dressing house salad and a 6 piece pork goyza. Wrapped up with a to-go stir-fried rice noodle and pork dish. Got to say, they should offer plastic flatware for to go eats besides the obligatory chopsticks. Must be good… there was a large 12 person party of Japanese men dining in. So of the indigenous folk eat there it must be pretty good. UPDATE: 6÷27÷2014: Dined in again w/family this time. Was another HIT… Good for another 5-stars as the sushi and dinner bowls were awesome. The sauces on the Chicken Noodle Dish was worthy of bowl licking in public.

I was in the mood for Sushi and this was an ideal location to get my fill. However, I got my fill on more then Sushi. Normally I would have great comments for a server who was on top of things, but this one seemed to over do it with kindness — to the point it was uncomfortable to see her coming to check on us over and over again — pushed me past my limits. Her name is Ellyson and she certainly is friendly enough and she knew what was good as well as helping us pick what we wanted, but it was a bit over the top for me. That was the first thing to bring down the rating. We tried 5 different plates of what appeared to be quite tasty — though I’ve seen better presentation — we were each(two of us) able to select a favorite between the selection of 5. However, nothing was really warm — though some was spicy — I’m talking temperature of the food and the indoor atmosphere had the air conditioning blowing right on us — subsequently on our food as well. The overall menu selection was very extensive though — almost too much making it hard to pick what you wanted. Another reason to bring down the rating. Overall the cleanliness, parking and pricing were all within reason — certainly a three star for me and that’s about where this one ends — a promising three star!
