Me and my family of five usually go on Sundays sometimes during the week also during the summer we also got our cakes there we love the ice cream but the kids in the back should not be there they’re always playing around and never paying attention to the customers you have to wait an extremely long time after you’ve already waited in line sometimes you don’t even get greeted I guess we better find a new spot don’t mind paying extra money for good ice cream but I’m not gonna pay for young adults to full around.

The ice cream were delicious. Our group of 4 tried out several flavors(sorry, cannot remember), and all of them were great. The ice cream were creamy without being too heavy. The amount of ice cream you get is very generous. We also tried their soup and sandwich. Both were ok. Minestrone soup was over cooked. Sandwich was good but not that special. Their coleslaw was, however, delicious! Highly recommended for ice cream!

Went around 9:15 and the lines were not long. Waited behind a family and after they got served we walked up to the window. The guy/kid who had been running that window did not acknowledge us and started to reorganize the area. Then he slammed the window shut on us without saying anything. We moved to the next line to be informed to now go wait inside. While the ice cream is good the service was horrible. The young male kid was rude and sloppy with the ice creams. While the poor young girl was trying to wait on the line the rest of the kids were fooling around. Will definitely not return to this location.

Hands down best homemade ice cream in Washington county. Worth the drive wherever you are. I enjoyed the chocolate chip tremendously, great vanilla base with incredible dark chocolate chunks.

The Ice Cream Man(ICM) is by far the class of all ice cream shops serving Saratoga, Washington and Rensselaer counties. As the song goes, «Nobody Does It Better!» Every ice cream product served is home made on premises using the best ingredients available. This is reflected in the incredibly smooth, extraordinarily tasty product they serve. Looking for something unusual? The ICM has it, as they serve 32 different flavors on any given day, with 12 of those changing daily to keep the variety flowing. The secret to their product is 14% butter fat content, which is what makes ice cream, ice cream instead of wimpy tasting ice milk. The ICM also makes the best waffle cones and uses the best sundae ingredients to top off their many specialty offerings. Yes, this establishment is located out of the way and a bit of a drive from most everywhere in their market. However, it is a scenic drive thru historic communities and given the prize at the end of the journey, it is one well worth taking. My wife and I travel there at least once a week, simply because they serve the best ice cream we’ve ever eaten. If you love ice cream, then you owe it to yourself to travel to this mecca of flavor at least once. But beware, once you’ve tasted the best, you will find yourself taking the pilgrimage on a regular basis and converting your friends and family into ICM cultists.

I love Man’s ice cream! Their quality cannot be beat. Great flavor options. Bring back the ginger ice cream! The ice cream cakes are good and I want to try their pies! Always friendly service too. Their food, however, is very bad. The mac and cheese was so dry and awful.

Good creamy ice cream. I got a kids scoop of coffee and it was really quite a large scoop. Price was only two dollars. I recommend stopping for ice cream here. There is no indoor seating though there is a woodsy area with picnic tables.

After seeing this place on a recent airing of Throwdown, took the wife here for lunch and ice cream this afternoon. She ordered the BLT with Cream of Potato soup and I got the Bovine Mooey Gooey sandwich w/potato salad and small mac n cheese. Both sandwiches were good and the soup and PS were also good, wasn’t a fan of the mac n cheese. It tasted fine, just a little dry for my liking. As for the Ice Cream? Dear Lord it’s outstanding. Ordered the SF/FF Raspberry Ripple and she got a scoop of the Danish Cream and Orange/Pineapple. They were both just outstanding, hard to believe mine was sugar free as it was almost too sweet for me to eat. But I managed. :) Ice Cream portions are a good value for the price. Highly recommend this place and we’ll make many return visits.

Despite going on the Washington County Cheese Tour last Saturday and eating nothing but cheese all day, we decided to find the Ice Cream Man and make a lunch of more dairy. I had read all about the Ice Cream Man from Daniel B’s review on All Over Albany. What is the opposite of disappointed? Because that’s what happened at the Ice Cream Man. I had high expectations, and they were met. Skip the sundaes. In fact, skip all toppings. You are going for maximum ice cream variety on this trip. Get as many scoops as you can handle, of as many different flavors as possible. The menu rotates through 300 flavors, so what is there one day might not re-appear for a long while. I don’t live near, so I can’t visit often, but if I did, you know I would be eating and checking off those rotating flavors on an Ice Cream Man flavor checklist.(Note: This doesn’t exist, but it should. Think of the return business from flavor completists!) As a lover of variety and flavor combos, they’ve already got me in their corner, so there is almost no use in describing the ice cream itself, since so many other people have. I had chocolate and Forest Gump(vanilla ice cream with chocolates filled alternately with caramel, raspberry, and peanut butter, which, it took me several minutes to realize, refers to the line about chocolates«you never know what you’re gonna get») and they were both excellent.
