Wendy’s

Used drive thru, they attempted to get me to order a medium, rather than the size that’s on the menu board. I believe all Wendy’s are using this tactic to make more money. No carbonation in soda, gave me 3 packets of ketchup despite not asking for it — very wasteful.

Oh did you think that this was fast food? Came here for the drive through and they told me to pull over, park and wait for my food. 20 minutes later and I’m still waiting. Don’t come here

This place is horrible. Portions are inconsistent and the dinning area is a firetrap waiting to happen.

I usually don’t write reviews for fast food joints because I don’t expect much, but the experience I had at this particular Wendy’s tonight was really awful. First of all, it took an unusually long time to get the food. I was not given sour cream for my «sour cream and chives baked potato» until I asked. I was not offered dipping sauce for my nuggets. I ordered sprite and server gave me carbonated water. I guess they were out of sprite. I asked for coke and apparently they were out of coke as well. There was one cashier and about four other people taking care of food prep and drive thru, but no one was able to change the empty sodas. Both self serve ketchup containers were empty and the only straws available were coffee straws. I asked an employee standing behind the counter (doing nothing) for ketchup and she turned to another employee to tell her I needed help, rather than handing me some packets of ketchup herself. The women’s restroom was out of toilet paper. And lastly, the trash were all overflowing so badly that I had nowhere to put my trash. I asked for the manager and was informed that there was none. I called their phone number, but no one picked up. I’ve gone through their drive thru several times and did not have any problems. This was my first experience with dine in. When we first arrived there was no line so there should be no excuse for the lack of up keeping and stocking of fundamental items in the restaurant. Hopefully, the staff can get their act together.

Since the Wendy’s in Port Chester closed, we’ve had to drive the extra couple of miles to Greenwich when we need a fix. This is a typical Wendy’s with the usual single, double & triple patties, Baconators & spicy chicken with pretty quick service at the counter. My complaint is with the parking lot which is very badly laid out. The drive-​thru line goes right down the middle of the lot and at lunch that line blocks all cars in the main lot from backing out. Lunch gridlock! You gotta wait for someone to let you have a little space and most are oblivious. Then if you’re able to go around the back to exit on the other side, good luck trying to make a left back onto Putnam Ave.
More complaints? My chili cup is never filled. It’s like a good ¾″ from the top. Their prices are also a good $ 0.30 to $ 0.50 higher than other Wendy’s, especially on the «Value» menu items. Even so, we tolerate all this because it’s the only one around for miles and is a cheap choice for lunch.

The burgers are fine no problem at all. The fries are always crappy — never seem cooked enough.
The worst part of this Wendy’s is its not FAST FOOD… its the slowest service I have ever experienced no matter what time I go. There is no difference if I go inside or on the empty driver-​thru!
I understand the area of Portchester is predominantly spanish but I should not need an English-​Spanish dictionary to place an order.

I’m not a big fan of fast food, but I do like the occasional Spicy Chicken Sandwich from Wendy’s. This location in Greenwich is clean, and quick to make the food and get it out. The people working are generally friendly, and do a good job.
They are open somewhat late (I think until 10, which is late for Greenwich) so if you are stuck without food it’s an option.
They also have their own parking lot which is clutch for Greenwich since parking can be tight everywhere else.
