This is our favorite store. Excellent customer service, best prices. Never had a bad experience. The people who work there are always helpful, and willing to locate items. The rebate program is fantastic. This is a large store but treats their customers as if it is a small hardware store. We have shopped at several other Menards but this location is by far the best.

Menard’s is ok in terms of price and quality but their customer service is horrible. I’ve been there twice this week to buy paint and both times the woman working the paint counter was extremely rude. Today I walked out and went straight to Home Depot. None of the employees there have ever been helpful and always act like they are being inconvenienced when helping me. Home Depot and Lowe’s may be slightly higher in price but I’d rather spend money somewhere where costumer service is still an expectation.

Ridiculous return policy. Purchased 2 box at 20.90 in cabinet handles. Ended up not needing one, no receipt… Menard’s says it’s worth .01. Are you kidding me. Still on the shelf for 20.90. Morale of the story. Shop at Lowes, get a Lowes a my Lowe’s card.

Picked up a shower door purchased last week. Security guard working gate was rudest person I have encountered in a long time. I pulled up, handed him my receipt, and said,“Picking up a shower door.” His response was, «Not to be rude but I can read.» As I was leaving with the shower door he felt it necessary to explain himself, said that when people tell him what they are picking up it makes him feel stupid. Sorry dude, if you find that offensive you are in the wrong line of work. First and last purchase from Menard’s I will make.

Menard’s is a really great store. I just purchased my first house and even though I’m not a complete idiot when it comes to home improvement I’ve found myself in several huh? situations recently. Every time I’ve found someone willing to listen and give sound advice on my renovations be it paint color, or gas fireplaces and lighting to everything in-between. They have one of the best lighting fixtures in town and of course you can not beat their Pittsburgh Paint.

Menard’s is a great home improvement store and in many categories is the best in delivering the most value for the dollar. Lots of variety and good quality it’s usually my first stop before Lowes or Home Depot.

I buy a lot of tools and building supplies for work, and depending on what I am in need of, I use different hardware stores. I spend most of my time/money at Menard’s. They are great for tools, lighting, cabinet hardware, and miscellaneous supplies. I have not been impressed by their lumber selection/price(Lowe’s is better in this category), nor their expertise(See: ACE, True Value, or Home Depot for real experts) If you know what you need, Menard’s is the place for you, but do not expect expert advise.

Menards is, hands down, the best home improvement store out there. I might go get my paint elsewhere, but I like that the prices are typically the same or lower as their competitors, and I always feel like we get great customer service.

My husband and I love shopping here on a weekly basis for all of our home improvement(and sometimes grocery, appliance, or garden!) needs. It is great to get the automatic rebate on the Menard’s credit card, and they usually have a pretty good selection of rebate items on a weekly basis that keep us coming back for more. The customer service is generally good if you go at a time when it is not busy. If you go when it is busy, in my experience they have a bunch of people working who are overextended and are not paying attention to customers trying to find sale or rebate items. I have asked for help before and gone through 4 people and 15 minutes trying to find inventory that«can not be located,» but I have also had very positive customer service experiences with knowledgeable people. Although I’ve had less-than-stellar customer service experiences as described above, those are few and far between, especially when it is not crowded. Overall, a great place to shop in my opinion!(Note: If they do not have a sale item in stock, they will give you a rain check at the customer service desk for the sale price when they do get it in. This is a nice gesture.)
