My friend and I were in town working and wanted to eat some good Japanese. We ordered two Chicken Hibachi plates with veggies to go. All the portions of the meal were nowhere near enough to fill either one of us. White sauce was very watery and didn’t have a good consistency. Vegetables weren’t cooked long enough and way too much ginger sauce was used on the food.

Sushi was fine. Service was a problem. Could not get the order right. Gave me someone else’s order which sat at my table for 10 mins before it was noticed and then given to the other table. Also the website states they open at 4.30 pm. They did not open until 5.30. No attention to detail which can make or break a restaurant. Also have never gone to a sushi restaurant in all my travels that charges for a small side of ponzu sauce. Won’t go back.

First time i had food was take out and it was very good. Probably some of the best food i have had in a while. I decided to go there and eat and standing at the hostess stand for 8min i got seated i was the second person there. Ordered food and salad cam out with ginger dressing was very good, couldnt even touch the soup it was so hot but it tasted very bad. My plate comes out and i notice the rice is very hot, nothing else was stemming i tasted the chicken and veggies they were both extremely cold, i ate the rice and left everything else, told my waitress who btw approached me by saying hey whats up. She told manager and he said he it was cooked at the same time, he offered to make more but I couldn’t wait i had to b back at work, he still should have came out and spoke to me or gave me a gift card or something, will not return!

Great service — I was here to meet a friend who couldn’t make it for quite a while after I arrived, and they took good care of me until my friend was there. And then they treated us both wonderfully, with no rush, even though we ended up taking the table up for over two hours.

Excellent authentic Japanese type food. They had a full sushi menu and also hibachi, soups, etc. it was very fresh and flavorful food with excellent service. The location was a little difficult to find, but worth a little bit of effort to find it. Located very close to the center of town in Greenwood. Highly recommended!

Had a great experience. Took a date and was not disappointed. Try the squid salad. Food was really good. It’s a little off the beaten path. Kind of hidden in the shopping center but well worth the effort.

I love this place! The staff is soooooo great and the sushi is the best in greenwood… by far! There really is not other comparison in this town. I recommend that everyone try it and support this great place. We definitely need good sushi to stay!

I’m going to give an honest and blunt review about Uchi E. If you’re looking for a good, authentic Japanese/Korean restaurant, prepare to be disappointed. I was able to sample many Korean dishes, as well as some sushi. We ordered the seafood pancake, short ribs, and a couple pork dishes. The pancake was literally the worst pancake I’ve ever had at any Korean restaurant, while the ribs and pork dishes were slightly sub-par. The small side dishes(including the kimchi) tasted like they’d come straight from a can. I’ve had a lot of good Korean food in my life, but this is certainly not the place to go if you’re expecting something great. Now, onto the sushi and edamame. The edamame was alright, but it’s pretty hard to mess up some lightly salted soy beans. I split the volcano roll with a friend, but I wouldn’t have minded not eating it at all. The rice was overlooked, and the sauce was was extremely bland. Maybe next time I’ll try something different. I was simply not impressed. Overall, I think this restaurant has a long way to go before I give it a second shot. I cannot say with confidence that I could recommend it to a friend. If you’re looking for Korean, go elsewhere. If you’re looking for sushi or Japanese dishes, go to Fusion across town. However, if you don’t care about authenticity, this might be just fine for you. The service wasn’t bad, but there are simply better options in town.

My first trip to Uchi. Very tasty. Not 100% authentic but good. A little pricey for what was served. I will however go back. Curious to try some other things.

Everything was great here! Glad I found this place. Definitely will be my go-to place when I come to Greenwood, SC. People were friendly too. Even more awesome is that their Asian fusion also offered Filipino dishes like adobo!

I’ve been here a few times, and it is wonderful. I love the spider roll on the sushi menu. The Korean BBQ is excellent. Great portions – I have a voracious appetite, and I have never been able to finish an entire entrée. Clean place.

Delicious choices of authentic Japanese and Korean food. Food was a little slow to come out but well worth the wait! We got one habachi dish, one Korean dish(Dakque) and some sushi. All of the food was freshly prepared and well proportioned. This was a lunch and each of the entrees came with a soup and salad as well. The soup was wonderful, but I could have skipped the salad. The kimchi was very good, too. Next time you are in Uptown Greenwood, stop and try and Uchi E!

This is my new favorite in Greenwood. I’ve been here twice and the service is attentive and professional. This is a Korean restaurant, so it is nothing like Fusion, Nagoya or China Garden. The quality of food is fresh and healthy. I had the vegetarian bibimbap which is a vegetable dish with rice served with a hot sauce and rice. There’s a fried egg on top. My friend had bigolgi plate… it’s like a hibachi type dish served with rice. All the food looks and tastes awesome. Fresh homemade Kimchi and pickled radishes are served with all lunch meals. If you’re in the mood for sushi, they have an extensive menu, and a sushi bar waiting to serve you. Also, Miso soup and salad come w everything, so prices are fair and the food is abundant.
